"Jimi came from the Blues; like me. We understood each other right away because of that. He was a great Blues Guitarist." . . .

... and yet Miles Davis wanted wodges of cash to jam with Jimi. As I understand it, that's why the mooted collaboration never came to fruition.

Best Hendrix series by some margin. The details, accuracy and accounts are simply mind blowing , with photos to top it all off. Simply AWESOME.

A giant of a series, I've been balls deep every week, thank you, sadly we know it's coming end soon.

This episode reminded me of one of my Dad's Jimi stories. Dad's been a jazz drummer since the 1950's, and spent some time in NY back in the day. He used to see Jimi around, before and after he got famous. Dad was at a party with my half sister's mom, who was pregnant with my sister at the time. She got a bit tired, so they left the party. The next day, some friends told dad that Jimi showed up at the party about 15 minutes after they left, and wanted to jam, but there was no drummer available...anyways, love the series. Peace :)

I am really looking forward to part two, specifically the coverage of Jimi's amazing performances at the Berkeley Community Theatre on May 30th. Those two shows contain some his FINEST live guitar playing, he was really on top form. Hear my train a comin is otherworldly. No gimmicks, just deadly serious focus, with his genius shining through, and his mastery of the instrument on full display. Absolutely jaw dropping.

I'm looking forward to part two also. Jimi's rendition of "Johnny B. Good" was mind blowing and is my favorite from the Berkeley concert. Wish I could have been there...Imagine seeing Jimi Hendrix for $5.00 back in May 1970! Unbelievable!

Always Slight return. Always. So ironic that he was working out the material that would provide so much posthumous material live...on his last tour. And Cry of Love was the 1st of a myriad of posthumous releases. What he was saying I heard in September of 71 and I was only 13. Eddie Kramer and Mitch on Angel especially deserve so much credit for it.

This is my favourite part of my week watching these videos. Thank you so much. Great to hear Jimi’s story told properly as it upsets me when people write him off as a drug addled show pony.

I look forward to these videos. I've been a Hendrix fan since my teens, but unfortunately I was only 8 years old when he passed away, so I'd never have the opportunity to see him play live. These videos are like windows to the past to see what I missed. Keep up the good work!

The May 2 Madison concert is one of the best from the 70 tour. Jimi Mitch And Billy are on point and the crowd is really responsive and grooving. A good quality bootleg is around on YT.

As fantastic as every new video you put out mr B B W this is just awesome. You are so good at the real history as a beacon of truth an accuracy compared to all the garbage out there created by profiteers who are to young, to stupid, an uncaring to record Jimi's legacy with truth. One constant that really blows my mind is the writing of these "journalists " an thier reviews! Man what a load of word salad bullcrap! Thank you AGAIN for what you are doing. As I have stated before I an NO fan of buddy miles, but I am to this day looking for a performance of machine gun with Mitch on drums that was as great as when Jimi did it at the Filmore. You gave me some new, or forgotten places to look today.

I saw Berkely when they had Midnight Shows at theaters, And all the freaks were smoking pot...inside. Rainbow Bridge was a debacle. But when you saw Jimi from behind playing with his teeth...WHOA!. But it was a great concert. And later the video came out with bits from the two shows. Cry of Love tour rules.
