James O'Brien schools caller who says Meghan "dominates" Harry

- When this caller criticised the Duchess of Sussex for "dominating" Prince Harry. But he completely fell apart when James asked him for just one piece of evidence.
After Harry and Meghan announced that they would be stepping down as senior Royals, Steve called from Bedford, saying he has experience of working for a Royal family abroad.
He had some very strong words for the Duchess, insisting: "It's like your best friend marrying someone who is totally dominated here."
James then asked where he gets the idea that she dominates him, he initially said it had been obvious from the start, before later claiming it is clear from yesterday's statement.
But when James asked for an example of Meghan dominating Harry, Steve couldn't give one.

My son served in the Army with Harry. He disliked a lot of "Royal Life" way before he met Megan.
Exactly! And after seeing how royal life destroyed his mother, it shouldn't surprise anyone that he would do everything in his power to protect his wife and child from that.
Yes, Harry was interviewed at the time, while in military, being critical of the press and the pressure. It's on video! But they ignore that evidence so they can blame Meghan for changing him somehow. As if his mother's death wasn't enough to sour him on the Royal goldfish bowl.

In everyone of his interviews long before Meghan he always hinted at leaving the Royal family. He spoke of going to one of the African countries where he is more himself, no cameras poking around, and he can live on his terms.

For example, I did a bit of reading about her history and it's a nice list of humanitarian and helpful endeavours that she's spent her time on. And the people who used to work with her every day for up to seven years, have nothing but nice things to say about her. But the nastiness which never seems to have any supporting evidence other than 'unnamed sources' seems to come from a few tabloid sources and the rumours get repeated and spread. If people don't look up the stories to find out whether or not they're real, wouldn't that qualify them as ignorant at the very least. And at the very worst, a label of evil gossip would be appropriate.

I think it's not simply that he had a minimal interest in being royal, I think it's that after his mother died, he equated being royal with everything that was destructive in her life - and I can't say he's wrong.

I`m no royalist but when Harry moved away from the UK with his gorgeous wife (i believe it was because of her treatment from the UK press) he won my respect. We all know why they didn`t like her. As I see this from an American point of view, beyond any racial component, it seems as though Meghan gave Harry the strength to do what he all ready wanted to do. He wanted to be a real military officer and fight for his country and wasn't allowed. If he wasn't royalty, he might have been a career officer. I think that it's easy to blame it on her. She's the foreigner, the outsider, who isn't fully white. I wouldn't be surprised if Harry was a bit scared for their child given the racism that Meghan had been experiencing. Honestly, Meghan doesn't even really look half black. Imagine how they would have treated her if she were dark skinned!

This guy is an excellent interviewer and I applaud people wth different opinions chatting w him. You've got to admit he's excellent at calling people out that can't critically think for themselves.
Some callers have no problem making a fool of themselves on national radio. Piers Morgan and his likes went on a major hate campaign and all the gullible readers and viewers fell for it. I would love to see Piers come on James O’Brien’s show.
