This band is like an extremely fine wine, they get far better with age.
This is one of the nicest and down to earth bands. I've met Courtney twice and interviewed him once. He is super chill and nice. They have no airs. Genuine. Great music. I just saw them in DC. They rocked it. I talked to Zia mainly in DC this time and she couldn't have been sweeter. Love them. Their sound is unlike any other band out there. Mad respect to them.

I wish my job was to go out every night and play their beautiful music. Ive been listening to it as long since their first album. They were life changing in 97 for so many reasons.
Saw these guys in perth australia over 10 years ago and smoked a joint out the front with them after the show when thay came out to say hi to everyone suoer awesome people :)

This was a great set - they have this raw but somehow lush vibe going and seem so comfortable in their own sound. And, that Phantom guitar is a beast. Not sure why some folks here are dissing Courtney; I've seen him in various interviews and he always comes across as considerate, naturally laid back and sort of in his head at the same time.
I loved their first album when it came out. I lived with their original keyboard player. Gretchen.

I actually got a chance to meet him last year after a concert, and thought he was really cool. I had a copy of One Model Nation, and he took the time to give me the history behind it. I've been a fan for a long time, so I am really glad that was my experience with him. It would have sucked if he'd been a jerk.

cheers from a montreal fan, since your june 4rth show here i listen to your music constantly, on our way to our gigs my bass player and i listen to the dandys all the time in the car and we comment on your songs and have so much fun, it was great actually meeting you before your show and taking pics with zia, brent and courntey, and going out with brent and courtney and courtney's wife after your show was a high, with my band we cover one of your songs, junky, cheers the dandys, you know what, when i exercise before my gigs, i use the fast driving rave up as an exercise song, one of my dreams is to travel to portland to jam with you guys, fan for life, it's 4H45am and i just got back from my gig in a bar and sabrina posted this link to me, am enjoying a whiskey laced beer called raftman while listening and watching, awesome godless and big indian - one of my favorites -.

I don't get why so many people hate this. i think its brilliant, sounds effortless but its not. Don't get me wrong i think they are certainly going for the whole BJM thing but still, both bands are great in their own right. Ive listened to this countless times

Dude...the sound is fairly true to the record. I don't see how you could like 13 tales, but not enjoy this performance. It's a low-key deal, but sounds great.
