    Thanks for the continued support from everyone. This video took a little bit to make. I went and grabbed footage from every pitch Tanaka threw. Ive been watching Gary for a while so it was easier to know what to look for. All catchers do this stuff across the league and it always fascinates me. Catchers need to be on the same wavelength with 5 different pitchers who all have different rhythms, moods and intricacies, its the most demanding position IMO. Now the plug: If you're buying tickets from SeatGeek use code JOMBOY for $20.00 off. Help us while helping you!

      Nah its because the astros are notorious cheaters and have been caught using illegal cameras to steal signs and have had there people snooping around in the opposing teams clubhouses.

      @gorworrgamingpainting6936 Před 4 lety +11

      The Astros were accused of stealing signs during home games the year they won the World Series. Turns out they did have a camera that was capable of doing it and claimed they weren’t stealing signs. MLB determined they weren’t guilt, but they had to stop using the camera. Personally I think it’s likely they were stealing signs. Smart of the Yankees to do this, especially on the road in Houston. Even if it is paranoia, it’s a smart move.

      I have to say that I am not a baseball fan at all. I can enjoy a game if I go to the stadium but I can’t stand it on tv. I don’t remember which video of yours I watched first but I have been enjoying them for weeks now, maybe even months. You do a good job of making them fun. I find that any sport or activity can be enjoyable if it is obvious how much of a true fan the announcer is as opposed to it just being a job.

Gone but it's still in the back of your mind like, that bitch!! ya know?? Now as far as if another team had done it....... ohhhhhhh, au contraire mon frere!! Boston did the same shit to EVERYONE including the Astros in 2018 and looking back on it now that this has come to light, i'm like those slick bastards, were better at it than us. By the way they are still being investigated but nothing will come of it BECAUSE if it all came to light how many teams are actually trying to cheat, it will be a shit storm and MLB aint having that. Clear signaling even when hes trying to hide those signals.
      Sits behind he plate upright even without the glove you would be able to have a large target to throw towards.
      Frames the pitches.
      Like Jomboy said he communicates that the pitch even if a ball is a good pitch cause many pitches that are called balls are pretty much perfect. Brings down the frustration that comes with not getting a strike call on a close pitch.

    They usually have great communication. Usually before games the pitcher and catcher will go over the expected line up, deciding how to attack hitters and situations. Some pitchers even prefer certain catchers as well that they work well together.
