I’ve been a camper and a counselor and I’ve never seen those little tent bunks before? Maybe my camp was just bougie. But I’m also lucky to live a few hours away from camp so I just drive in, which means I also get my car for nights off. But the ‘down side’ I guess to it is I’m also the designated person to drive everywhere. So if you are allowed and live close enough driving to camp has its perks.
Your videos are so helpful! On girly topics, I’d love some insight on eyelash extensions - I normally get them at home but idk about the practicality of topping them up at camp etc! X

I’m the same and love lashes so I usually get them done before I go and then just embrace the natural look when they fall out! I’m actually a lash tech so I’m going to bring my stuff to attempt to do my own maybe 🤣xx
Our camps are similar! My camp also has a similar outside cabin as yours, we have 7-8 campers in a cabin and the counselors sleep in the bunk with us. Do you sleep in the same cabin with the campers?! Or does the staff have a separate cabin. Ik most camps they don’t sleep with you. I also find it crazy how people don’t have bathrooms in their cabin, but i think my camp is just lucky that way.!
It’s not too late at all, there will definitely be camps with spaces available, however I know a few camps are fully staffed. It’s best to call an agency and ask how many spaces they have available!
Omg there was so much relationship stuff that happened at my camp and i kind of just became friends with all the boys which was one of my favourite things because then there was no strings lol

No problem!! I’m glad you’re loving them 🤍and honestly not long at all, once your police check is submitted your agency will ask for your visa papers to be released from America, they get sent to the agency and then to you, probably no longer than a couple of weeks!
I've applied for camp this year but I'm just a bit worried as I'm seeing all these videos of past campers who are slim and I'm plus size and I do feel more comfortable in leggings instead of shorts. Is this anything to be self concious of or is there still people who a maybe a bit bigger than the average campers ? Loving the videos though Victoria!! 😊
Hey!! I'm heading to camp this summer and am plus size too!! Been talking to a few people in from my camp and there is nothing to worry about at all!! Size doesn't matter and we are all beautiful! I'm going to be taking like nice oversized tshirts to feel comfortable in, cycling shorts and nice 3/4 leggings so i dont get too hot. I'm going to take really nice one-piece suits that cover like my stomach area. I can link some nice ones for you if you want!! x

Great video, Is there a typical date it starts, just wondering if it clashes with a level exams as there in June, would you recommend waiting until being at uni ?
i’d love to do camp but i lack skills other than just looking after young cousins/siblings. did you know anyone who had little experience in skills but still got placed?
Yes lots of people I know didn’t have lots of experience working with kids! It’s more about having a passion to do it as all the training and help is given to you whilst you’re at camp!
I didn’t have any experience other than what you mentioned and I’ve been placed!! And you would be surprised by how many different skills camps look for. Plus you don’t need to be an activity specialists as most camps hire general counsellors who do all the activities with the children rather than teaching in a certain area.

Is it crazy that I’m planning on taking my hair straightener? - also.. I’m on the periods part, I know specifically when I start my periods, but my periods are so heavy and horrible, I throw up on the first day always, is it possible I can tell my camp about this and manage to get a day off on that exact day?
No not at all! I’ll take my hair straightener aswell but you’ll struggle to use it at camp due to fire hazards. And honestly probably not :( days off are usually set before you even get to camp based on the job you do. I’d just let your head staff know that you suffer quite bad and they’ll be more than understanding if you have to take a few hours in the bunk x

Honestly nothing to be self conscious of at all! A lot of people will wear leggings aswell, nothing to be worried about though!! 🤍

Most people do go to camp whilst they’re in uni! Most camps start between mid may-mid June x

Just do your research into what kind of camp you want to, when offered a position at a camp you can say no!
Are there hair dryers at camp?
No there’s usually no hair dryers, people will bring their own but can’t really use them at camp as they’re a safety hazard in the bunk :)
