This was done in less than five weeks. Maybe one month and five days as I worked on #Trese animation.
I am a fan of the animation of Akira. But you know, nothing beats the manga which tells a wider story about Tetsuo and Kaneda.
I made this animation coz many have been asking me what is my favorite anime. I always say "Akira".
This animation was inspired from the anime, but NO ONE can make better than the original. Mine is not even there. I've seen the pencil test of the original Akira, and I was surprised how detailed the drawings are. No 3D graphics where used on the motor chase.
Well, I really hope you guys really enjoyed this very short animation. I may add some more scenes on this one. I hope you will wait for that.
This was made only using Krita 4.4.3, and HitFilm Express 11.

I try to animated something in Krita it was working then I gave up because I was depressed, but the way you make these animation it always inspires me to go on.

Idk if you watched "your name" and the scenes where the comet splits , the girl rushing on the circular stairs with the camera man running after her
and idk if it's impossible to animate this kinda stuff on your own

Hi ed, can you do a step by step tutorial on animating and how u do it on krita? It'll help me so much. I'm a student and I've wanted to do animation for so long, but my budget and schedule is not the best. So a step by step animation for krita is really really helpful

well depends on how much time you have. as he said in the description, he was working on other projects at the same time.
it still takes a while, but im sure he couldve finished in like 1-2 weeks if he worked solely on tht project for 6+ hours a day

If you're familiar with Photoshop you can use Krita. You can customize hot keys or shortcuts.
