At the very least put him on a kfx/Ltz400 with a good pipe and filter. He will at least be over 40hp and will “keep up”. He might not win any races, but it’s a quick machine. I had a 2006 with a 440 kit pushing over 50hp, and it was smooth and the power was very usable. That’s all he would need for a few years at least.

4 wheelers just seem at home in the sand. I miss living on the coast and riding sand all the time. Love all the 2 stroke quads.

Man, hopefully next year I can meet up with you guys for the 250R legends tour. I’m working on a couple blasters right now but thanksgiving weekend I’m going to pick up my 400EX and my Polaris Magnum from my dad in Arizona. I’ve also got a Foreman 400, Bayou 250, Yamaha Moto 4 200, and a Quadrunner 160... so hopefully I can get the whole family out and maybe a couple buddies as well. I’m super upset I had to have shoulder surgery right before this event. If this workers compensation money comes through then HOPEFULLY I’ll have a 250R out there as well. The goal is to get the TRX250R, LT250R, Tecate 4, and Banshee to do some shootout videos. That might take a while, but when it happens I’m totally going to need a couple people to ride some of the machines for that shootout.

Let me know if you ever want to ride in Tennessee. I’m in Clarksville TN and we have Turkey Bay which is like 2,500 acres and Wild Donkey which is 1,000 acres. I haven’t been to either yet but I’d be down if you wanted to ride.
You should really look into scraping that lame twist throttle IMO a twist throttle doesn’t belong on a quad some people like them but they are not for me such a sweet piece of history the mighty lt500 fire breathing monster 👍👍 keep those vintage 2strokes ripping my friend.
