Coolest thing on the internet! Linex has a really good looking gunmetal color. The stickers make it legit! I’m going to have to figure out a way to get one for my rig. Can’t wait to see how this turn out!

I have a 1971 Range Rover converted camper in the uk with toilet bed cooking area and a pas threw in to the front! Also a wood burner! I’m currently rebuilding it with a bigger 7.1 liter turbo engine. Loved the tour of you rig is fabulous 👍
Saw this rig in Sulphur Louisiana at the radiator shop 2018. Was just looking through some pictures and decided to search and found u LOL I have a photo of course
Someone only brought up that idea on a forum for an LR3 camper recently! So it can be done….wild! Best of luck with it. Gunmetal and lime green scheme.
LR3/LR4 would be neat. I have a hankering to do an icarus style pop up on an LR4. Never thought of combining the two. We’ll get some rendering up at some point with everyone’s color ideas.
@@LostCauseRanch Icarus would be cool just not a whole lot of space in the back 3rd row. Also stepping up into it a challange. Maybe use one of the 2nd row doors as your way in. Twud get the creative juices flowing alright 😅
The glass panel on the roof would be perfect to remove and start working with for the tent. That will be a someday project I think. Need to get a few other ones out of the way first.
Full disclosure - I contributed my fair share of farts to that front seat. The seat bottom foam itself is pretty new, but it'll need some love for sure! Another fun fact, those curtains are made out of fabric we bought in Botswana when we were living there. That spot in the floor is indeed an access point for the fuel pump (thankfully). Can't wait to see what you do with this guy!
I may have to keep the curtains then. That’s cool. Excited to tear into it some. If I don’t use the fridge in there, does the door have any sentimental value to you with the stickers? It’s yours if you want it.
Just picked up one of the campers, planning to mount it on my 1st gen 4runner. Can't wait to see the work you're going to put into this project. I would love to see some detail on the way they built the frame to mount it on the rover.
@@LostCauseRanch I'll just look forward the progress videos. Just picked up my camper this past week. Making some room in my shop so I can get it inside and start the tear down and see what repairs are needed. Hopefully I'll get some inspiration from your upgrades. Very little info out for the campers compared to all the regular sunrader stuff.
They are kind of a rare piece anymore. I have a few projects ahead of it at the moment but we will start in it this winter. Hopefully tear it down next month.
This is amazing. I would love to see a modern version of this on an L319. The passthrough and all that space is crazy. You could make it pretty comfy if you saved some space with the kitchen and made the furniture/cabinets a bit more refined. Let me know if you want to work out a better power system for that thing. A single lead acid house battery is kinda roughing it. I am working on a new setup for my LR4 with 340 ah of LiFePo4 batteries.
I’ll definitely reach out when we rewrite the house setup. It’s got a mess of stuff going on. It all works nice just would like to clean it up some and add more capacity. It is super neat, creative idea. Something modern would be awesome.
color wise I think you either want to pick something period and make it like retro-fresh or do something more modern and clean up the lines on the camper.
Love this thing. Remember seeing it on a Roverlife walkaround vid. Would love to sink my teeth into this project. P.S those are Disco 1 seats, and yes, they cave in after time.
I was excited when it popped up and glad to get our hands on it. It’s a little tired looking but we’ll get it whipped back into shape. I’m shocked at how well it goes down the road, it’s going to make a good rig. The 2100 mile trip home was pleasant. It will be fun to use next year. Though it did leave me stranded in the middle of an intersection this morning.

I think the kitchen all on one side would help tremendously in layout.
