Sound Comparison: BOSS SY-200 Synthesizer vs. ELECTRO HARMONIX SUPEREGO + (Tone Demo)

Today we are comparing one specialist, the Electro Harmonix Superego Plus, and a multi-effect, the Boss SY-200 Synthesizer. One is kinda a one-trick-pony, the other one can do much more! How about the sound though?

I tend to prefer the sound of the EHX, as it seems to have less of that ‘Strymon-sheen’ thing going on that I don’t like …
Do you feel they both track notes/poly as well as each other? 🤔

I hear you on the sheen (which I don't mind so much), but please note that the Boss has pretty powerfull tone and clarity options. So I feel you could dial these sounds down so they are more in the background (and lose the sheen).
Tracking wise they both are awesome, no complaints there!

I would wire the sy-200 to the send/return of the SE+.
