I did not mention it was new because it is a new however, Apple has improved this feature to make it even better and darker with iOS 16.x and I think it will really help at night when using your iPhone.

Thanks for the tip, its really handy and that’s what I’ve been looking for. There are at times I will watch CZcams as I’m going to sleep and it’s nice to have the screen even dimmer.
Except that Reduce white point was already in accessibility shortcuts in iOS 15

This doesn’t work for my IPhone XS 😫 The „reducing white point“ option just makes my display darker, but the grid is still visible.
But still thanks, because I tried this before and left the option on and was wondering why my display is so dark. So thanks!😂🙏🏻

@@itshuzzu well IPhone XS has OLED, the same as all the never iPhones 11, 12, 13 and 14. So it should have nothing to do with the type of screen the phone has.

what is the screen on time your getting after full charge on the latest IOS software ?
I bought it 6 days ago, at first I was getting like 5 to 6 hours, but then I deleted all preloaded apps I dont use, turned widgets off, and now I'm getting 7 to 8 hours sot, aod is off, as well as almost all background processes. I hope they will fix it in the next update, I dont wanna turn everything off in order to get some decent battery life out of a 1300 eur phone

No, it’s best when used at night time
The bad thing about it is that it makes your iPhone / iPad makes your battery go down fast.
Tried it out buh I overall the brightness level keeps coming down, it’s more like I turn it on my iPhone XS Max and the white point just shut down the whole screen level

just set reduce white point to 100% and with any brightness all the borders will be gone
Only problem is,I already have another useful shortcut feature set up on the triple click of the home button and you can’t have more than one so this is useless for me.

@@FireFoxDestroyer In Oled when it’s a fully black screen the pixels are completely off.That’s why even if you keep the brightness high it won’t affect those pixels because they are turned off.LCDs don’t turn of so high brightness does affect them.
