We need some of Strive mechanics and own depts plus it's graffics, into the classic XX feel and gameplay and the original heavy metal style ambience and hud from GG1 to XX, maybe throw some of Xrd in there, and we would easily have a FGC marvel in our hands
@9λ hopefully they can slowly inject some more into strive as time goes on to let the newcomers adjust. Personally as someone that started with strive, I've tried xrd and acr but I just can't learn that well when thrown into the deep end. I also much prefer the feeling of strives rc system and lack of the dizzy mechanic
Xrd is a happy medium. I like that it is a bit slower than AC cause I’m fuckin stupid, I love the implementation of YRC and Blitz, and that despite the slowness compared to AC it is still a million times faster and more aggressive than basically every other fighter. Strive went too far in the slow down and it cut too many of the mechanics and nuances that Xrd made me fall in love with.
Kazunoko's OR got rusty? No forward+kick, wrong normals to launch RK to corner dustloop. He knows this, hence he used force break to help gain momentum. Still, he should also realize it would make a second loop impossible since RK counter gauge would be too low to maintain it. Seems like Xrd has taken its toll. AC are way more strict in timing for execution. Sanma's OR footage from 8 years ago has much more depth and precision than this. And Kaqn's OR at Slash were deeper still.

I don’t think kaz has ever been as optimal as Sanma but having crazy good combos isn’t always the most important thing to winning in fighting games. All the tech won’t save you if you’re bad at adapting. Still kaz is one of the best fighting game players period
