Finally a moped style ebike with huge range and a relatively tiny price while also giving us a laundry list of other options including: full suspension, respectable frame size, a powerful controller capable of high speeds, an excellent headlight, and brake lever illuminating taillight, a passenger seat, hydraulic brakes, and more. This super73 look-a-like might actually cause a shake up in the electric bike world this summer. Why pay 2x - 3x the price for an electric bike offering less battery when you can get all the EUYbike S4 has to offer for a bargain basement price? That's not for me to decide, but I think it's a question worth pondering. Thanks for watching, and reading, and booping the like button 👍 catch ya next time 🤙⚡️.

I'm sure everyone already know this, but if you hold the up and down PAS buttons for a couple of seconds, you can get into the controller settings menu. There are some settings like the perm. magnet number that you definitely shouldn't play with, but there's also settings for cruise control, number of crank revs until PAS kicks in, wheel size, max speed, max current draw, battery voltage (36, 48, 60, etc). There's also a setting (don't remember what its called) that adjusts the math it uses for the speedo, with some fiddling you can get it dialed in. This works on just about all cheap ebike controllers.
So can you change these settings to go faster
speed above 33?
can I turn off any limit settings to make it faster?
Someone is just liking comments but no one is answering the question and low-key I kind of like it ambiguity rules
With the ouxi V8 that has a battery of 750W you can make it up to 50 mph, i know this because i have one but i am looking forward getting a second bike but problem is in my country they don't wanna sell 750w ebikes anymore (i dont know if they lie to still be able to sell the bikes but whatever) all you gotta know about the bike is how the settings work and most of the times some chinese dude uploads a video on yt showing you how to change these settings @@aidenyust5205
Just a heads up, there is a usb charger under the lcd display. You can charge your phone. Also, you can change current voltage settings in the lcd display! YOU ARE welcome 😊
This just made me buy it.
Does changing the voltage settings change the top speed ?
What does the phrase “you can change current voltage settings in the LCD display“ mean? Does that suggest that you can change this from 52 V to 48 V to 24 V?
Maybe that phrase means that you can change the font of the printing from size 4 font to size 12 font. It seems unlikely to me that you can actually change the operating voltage of the motor system. But I am not an engineer of any sorts. I’m just a dude.
@@handler65 Does it make it go faster?
Holy **** $1299 free ship no tax? Man, this is my next bike. Great review thanks!!
got this bike today, was a really easy but long build. one thing to note is that the bike was updated since this video, the brakes are now 180mm rather than 160 (in the video). and some unnoticable parts changed from a silver tone to an all black tone. honestly speaking from riding around with some of my friends super73's, this thing is a beast and has way more capabilities. Speed is kind of hard to get full potential out of but you could if you really tried. overall a great bike.
How much is it do u know

How much is your avg range on one charge? Thx
Thanks for the great review! The $1399 S4 is EUY's 1st moped addition to their folders... $1699 K6 Pro 1000W25AH folder. Their under $999 line: 750W F7(16AH) and F6(18AH) folders are a step up from the 12.8AH enclosed batteries in their NXB and Auloor folders. Everything spanks Super 73...! Edit: I bought the Auloor full suspension for $799 Delivered! 12.8AH gets good range with a 16A controller. Smooth Ride and 31mph,,,!
I just bought this bike last week and received it yesterday. It's so far a great bike. The seat looks comfier than it actually is. Maybe after being broken in the seat will be more comfortable. Comes unlocked as far as speed goes. Pas mode 1 gets up to 18mph for a 200lb rider.
nice!
It is also my first ebike and, I love it!
How many kilometers range ?
What can you get out of it for top speed?
32 mph on a flat surface but, it gets there a lot faster if you are also pedaling. On trails near my house with slight up and down hills throttle only I average about 25 mph.
I actually don't mind the pedal assist lag as a safety feature. My X class will go full power if I just barely move the pedal. I have to put it in 0 assist mode at every light I stop at so I don't go flying into traffic if I bump the pedal. Now maybe they can shorten it to 1 full rotation instead of 3 rotations, but I wish I had this on my X class.
Criminally underrated channel... Awesome content 💯🔥👌🏾
🙏🤙
I just bought it today I thought they might get rid of the Father’s Day prices so I got it with your code for $1369 🎉🎉🎉 I was shocked I saw a pedal assist bare bones bikes at a bike shop for 1300 so I got so much more bike for my buck. Also being 6’5 like you I was getting worried I wouldn’t find a good bike for less than 3k. Thanks man and thanks for the extra discount!
heck yeah! enjoy this little beast! ⚡️🤙
how do you like it so far? thinking of buying one 🙂
I agree ☝️, this bike would be a BEAST with an unlocked 35 amp controller!! It wouldn’t be an expensive upgrade either!!😮
Thanks for the awesome review video! It was super helpful and informative. I just used your code to get one! It's going to be my first Ebike and I'm ridiculously stoked about it!
If you're going to cut a corner you want to cut it on something that's easy to upgrade and that many people will have already. I think the cheap charger was absolutely the right choice.
Definitely one to consider. Thanks for your reviews. I like your process! Consistent testing between different bikes.
🙏
I got my S4- 3 months ago, man I am really happy with the bike, Thanks for the great reviews!
Range going full throttle what's the range
Nice review. Quite thorough. And - thanks for the ride-a-long. 😊🙏
Thanks Matt for another well made and thorough review of a nice moped style bike. Besides some powerful features it has some nice styling. Large halo light and contrasting tan seat, red accents and dual suspension. Definitely worth a consideration.
Thanks again.

Nice meeting you dude!
I bought this yesterday and I am having issues mounting the front tire, did you have any issues?
I almost bought one of these but their support is SUPER sketchy. Almost no replacement parts listed for sale and one of their service reps sent me private customer transcripts without the other user's consent to prove a point. Can't trust them at all now.
Thanks Matt after watching a ton of you videos for the last month and doing research. I was at a budget of 1,500. I picked up this EYU S4 and used the rest of the budget for new tires, inner tubes, and a helmet. I appreciate all your work and info on all these reviews on these ebikes. It helped me a ton.
Have you figured out any of the ways to boost the top speed using the display? I'm reading you can change the voltage but not sure if that would blow something out, I'm still learning how all this comes together but need to make sure this thing can keep up with traffic should the need arise
@@mythoti this model ships out unrestricted. So this model is pretty quick right out of the box. Most bikes do not ship that way, thankfully this one does. Changing the voltage will not help unless you have a battery and controller that is setup to deliver higher voltage. This model is pretty solid for upgrading and DIY if that is something you would like to do.
Hey Matt used your code and bought the s4 thanks for giving me the info I needed it helped me make my decision to purchase the s4 keep up the good work thanks

your channel is the best bro!
After watching an English guy apparently reviewing the box the ebike came in I appreciate your Videos
Pretty cool idea to have the controller integrated with the battery cradle.
Makes sense and saves space and reduces wiring
True, I’m surprised by how small it is. Usually controllers are much larger.
Yeah my Totem has its controller built into the battery cradle. In fact it looks identical this bikes, makes me wonder if I could use that battery to give me a longer range.
Hey there! I actually stumbled upon a new project called the "Freebeat Morph 2-in-1 eBike" and it's pretty cool! The idea of integrating the controller with the battery cradle like the EUYbike S4 seems like a smart move. It not only saves space but also reduces wiring, making the whole experience much neater. By the way, have you heard about the Morph eBike? It's the first eBike with dual modes for both indoor and outdoor use. What's really impressive is that you can charge it while using it indoors! Such a great feature for indoor cycling enthusiasts like us. 😄
I just found your channel a few videos ago but i am not a person who comments too much, so ......
I found this video to be very interesting and a very good review of the bike ....

I heard the new ones being shipped out now come with 180mm rotors! Sweet
Play with the air pressure in the tires a little bit, you have suspension so you don't need to play with their pressure to make it a softer ride. Plus, it can increase your actual mph because the vehicle is extrapolating the outside diameter of the tire, and when you have a little bit too little air pressure, it will still think it's going as fast as it should be going.
Seems to really scream for a different tread design. Those knobby tires leave a lot to be desired. They really need a central rib you can actually get a little bit less resistance while riding on pavement and a little bit more knobs might help off-road
cool stuff; u did so many but weirdly not the ouxi v8. they are insanely popular in europe and are sometimes below a grand in sale.
Good video i just got mine and can't wait to see what all I can do to make it faster and have more range I want to bump it to 72 volts and better controller see if it can go faster and pull harder.
I really enjoy your reviews. You are personally responsible for causing me to impulse buy the EUY S4 LOL. This will be my first ever ebike. It seems that the S4 outperforms the Engwe M20 and is a bigger framed bike. My bike arrives this week. Keep up the great work with this channel!
{{3}} That's awesome to hear that the EUY S4 is your first ever ebike! Congrats on your impulse buy, sometimes those are the most exciting purchases. I hope your bike arrives smoothly and that you have an amazing experience riding it. Keep us updated on how it performs for you! And speaking of new ebike projects, I just came across this new crowdfunding campaign for the freebeat Morph 2-in-1 e-Bike. It seems to have some outstanding features like the ability to be charged during indoor rides and its brushless 750W motor with 80Nm torque. Definitely worth checking out if you're interested!
How's the S4 holding up?
Thanks for your review. I purchased this bike yesterday and was wondering if I was going to upgrade the battery charger, which one would you get and from where?
I just ordered the S4 today. So I am excited. Do you have a good suggestion for a 3 amp charger?
Just noticed it’s $1399 and with your code it’s $1369. Seems like an awesome deal actually
I agree
😂 😂 WWWOOO
I'm new to your channel. Great review on this Ebike. I've been looking for a dual suspension ebike with a reasonable price tag. Thanks ✌️
I just ordered one!! Thank you for all the info, besides the sale they had $100 promo code. I’m very excited and look forward to riding!!
Awesome!! Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks for all the reviews! Just bought this guy through your link
enjoy! thank you! 🙏
I have an Engwe M20 arriving next week. It would be nice to see how the two bikes stack up.
nice! that was a fun one! def has a good look
I kinda like that seat being separate. I would not use the back seat and add a bag or rack. Being 5'8 I wouldn't need the extra room and that way I'm not making the bike longer by adding a rack if it was a 1 piece seat. I gotta watch more videos but instead of looking at the latest and greatest, I might go this route and get a deal on something older. I think its the smart move being my first e-bike
Safety warning. Do not keep your e-bike between your bedroom and the only exit of your home. Make sure sure you have a path to escape if your e-bike battery catches fire.
Great tip!
Great video 🤙🤙.

Thanks got me liking this one 👍

Really like this bike but researching further any ebike over 750 watt is a no go in Georgia. Any videos on great ebikes in 750 watts?
Just wondering what app your using on your phone and is this a good bike for a first ebike purchase
About your drill/electric screwdriver, since you talked about how it sucks...
When you buy cheap tools, you can expect cheap tool performance.
Pay the price for quality tools and you'll never have to replace them. Maybe a battery once in a while. But you'll be happy with how well the batteries keep their charge and how well the tools are made.
For sure, I bought this one like 10 years ago to mount a TV on a wall going to cheaper app, recently upgraded, and I’m much happier with the new drill I got, however, it has stripped several bolts on bikes 😆
That is a cool bike. I have a cheap-ass bike, but for my age its cool. Good video, thank you
Thanks 🙏
Nice! Waiting for you to test the Raev Bullet GT and compare it to Revv1. Want to know which one you like the most.
raev is going to send me something that's a step above the bullet GT in July, supposedly. they said im too tall to try their GT despite my request.
@TailHappyTV really? Oh man! I can't wait to see it then!
pretty sharp looking bike too....
Those scuff marks should come off that vinyl/laminate floor with a Melamine Sponge Eraser. Mr. Clean sells them as Magic Erasers. But you can buy them cheaper by the Melamine material name.
Great review, bought from your link in appreciation. wondering if anyone has ETA info. Reaching them by the phone numbers on the site is a no go....
Just purchased one because of your video 👍🏻

I love riding this bike around, but is it possible to remove the speed limiter?
how is the LCD display? is it bright enough? How is the torque on inclines?
Awesome. How do you drive it so comfortably without side mirrors
I have the engwe m20 with an upgraded 58t chainring. How would you compare the 2 bikes
This one is sweet, minus the eye appeal. But it would do most of what I would need it to do, in the Sierra Nevada area, where we have a bit more hills than SoCal.
Nice, what part of sierra Nevada? I love those mountains, they are the most beautiful.
@@TailHappyTV I live about 7 miles away from Bullard Bar Lake. Out in the boonies, an hour drive to the nearest town. About an hour from, Grass Valley, Nevada City and Marysville, driving in 3 different directions.
Love your reviews. Could you please review the ridstar Q20 pro please. I need an ebike that can climb a 35% grade. Thank you in advance.
Just got mine 2 days ago!
This bike seems like a real good e bike I like it ⚡⚡⚡
This is the one I’m gonna get when the time comes
23:21 gentlemen, pause here. you're welcom
I like the look of it, and it looks like a good performer. But the reason I want an E Bike is because I have bad knees. Straightening the legs aren't a problem, but flexing my legs beyond 90 degrees is almond impossible. This bike wouldn't work for me. But good review.👍
Just a note, I've seen ads here on CZcams between vids with either the Walmart or Amazon logo selling "clearance E Bikes" for $69 or less. I checked out the reputation of a couple of the weird web addresses selling these things. They're bogus, rip off sites. Everyone,do not fall for that! They'll take your money and you will never get a bike!!
Can't imagine any reputable seller practically giving away bikes for less than 10 percent of the original selling price. However, if there are legitimate sites selling returned or dinged bikes at a discount I'd love to know about them.
Can i make it faster stock through the settings on the lcd? Or is already at max speed?
Does full performance come locked, or unlocked, out of the box? Where is this? Nice beach.
Another awesome review THTV, thank you...
thank you 🙏
I’m thinking about getting my first e-bike for a hilly commute and some fun riding too. I’m trying to decide between the aventon adventure, the velotric nomad 1 and this euybike s4.
Im curious to see which you might recommend between the 3. I like how this bike looks especially, and the 1000 watt motor and big battery seems cool too
Aventure has a high top speed but annoying throttle lag. Nomad is a beast but smaller battery than euy. euy could be awkward to pedal if you plan on riding it like a bicycle, but huge range
@@TailHappyTV Thanks for the reply! I was originally leaning into the Nomad, but now I'm thinking the Aventure maybe the safer pick. There's a dealer local to me, and I feel like it might be nice for peace of mind. The EUY seems really cool, but I was a little concerned about actually pedaling it being awkward
What country/city did you shoot this video? It's beautiful!
Los Angeles
Is there a 750w version? Or if i keep it to that first setting at 18mph will I be firn? I dont want to have to get moped insurance on a bicycle
Couple question, you didn’t pedal much, could you use this bike as an exercise bike or is it to uncomfortable to pedal long distances, 2nd question, at 5’7 170 pound what size bike would fit me best.
thanks for the input--i bought this bike!!!
Hope you enjoy it!
I just got this bine and i love it. The battery percentage isn't very accurate though so i go by volts. He mentioned upgrading the controller. Does anyone know what i need to buy to upgrade the controller ?
Great video and what a deal for that bike! just bought the Rad Runner Plus on sale for $1750. Do you know if thats a decent bike? I know the motor is only 750w . I liked it because I want to use it as a second "car" to go grocery shopping and haul stuff. I'd appreciate your feedback if you know anything about that bike. Thanks!
Any thougts on running it into canadian winter? I'm considering replacing my car for something like that.
Hey if i unlock this bikes speed potential what is ideally the range when going full throttle? Im looking to get am ebike for a 15 mi ride to work 3 days a week thanks for any advuce
To me it seems like a bigger brother to the jansno x50 haha.
Has the same grips fork, and headlight it seems with little upgrades here and there.
Awesome bike though! Great Vid
that's basically correct, thanks! 🙏
Except with the special you can almost get two of the Jansno x50 bikes (@869 each)for the price of this EUY super 78 clone(@1399 shipped) so +400 more and get two bikes. We have a EUY F-6 and a Rad Expand 5 and the EUY kicks butt and gets more compliments. What to do….
What upgrades would you recommend?
Would be interested to hear about how these smaller tires compare to the 26" x 4 tires. Are they just as good? Also, would like to see you do a monthly or quarterly review on all the bikes you test. Give your recommendations for hill climbers, speed range etc.
I really doubt he keeps all the bikes. Since he lives in an apartment, he would be racking up storage fees. And, some bikes, he may have to return to the manufacturer. Most, he probably buys and then sells them to recover the purchase cost. It would be interesting to find out the actual outcome.
@@FishyAbody That makes no difference whether he has the bikes or not. Just looking for some real feedback for purchase info.
Gotcha, I thought you wanted monthly followup reviews. My bad.
Larger diameter wheels are smoother over bumps. The handling can feel less twitchy too.
Hi. Brand new to e-bikes and the channel. Is there anyway to unlock the speed on this bike?
whatever I showed in this video is the max probably, 28-30ish is the realistic max of most 48v ebikes
Big tires creat more friction and reduce battery. Surprised by tire width really. Maybe a mod there.
Is it possible to add a second battery?
Is this battery compatible with the Jansno x50 , since the same bike?
Hairspray is the answer for grips without bolts.
I'm in the UK, where can I buy one of these? Do EUY ship to the UK?
Slow charger means better longevity for the battery. Fast charging stresses the cells. Having said that, ya, 12 hours lol.
Haha right
Have this bike and it's great. Wondering if anyone has added a rear extension rack and if the Ariel Rider Cargo Plus rack might fit.
FWIW I used a rack extension meant for an Super 73 model S (strait mount arms). I had to drill two holes in the rack arms and it fit well.
Think this would be good for a 5'7 guy? I know it's bigger than most bikes, but its hella nice.
Yes
I will be buying it next month when i in spain and travel around Europe
will they ship there?
I'm looking to buy a ebike and the Engwe m20, Super 73 and the ride 1up seem good but not sure so Mr TailHappyTV what ebike would you buy if you were a old dude like me ? and I cycle everyday on a trek fx bike. Also, can you change the cassette, I hate 7 speed
Hey Which one you looking at or did you get.
nice bike, i think im still looking to get the rev1 tho
revv1 one is dope, much more money too
Do i get this or the engwe m20?
i have a 1 month update the bike performs good but the chain seems to come off randomly couple times here and there and the components seem fragile the left brake levers gets looser the stopping power is not great since my version has the 160 rotors where the newly shipped ones come with 180 rotors im currently debating with them
How is it now im thinking of getting this on the engwe m20 what do you think?
I've gotten that chain thing a couple times as well. Anyone out there have a fix for that? Maybe take a link out of it or something else I can do?
This ebike looks like the JansnoX50, the other ebike you reviewed. Which one do you recommend?
This one has a much larger battery, so if you want to go high-speed for any amount of time, I’d say this one. The jansno will burn through that battery very quickly
Been looking at e bikes for a year. Considered this one for a few weeks. Watched this review twice, and it helped me pulled the trigger on one. Just bought an S4. Thanks for the review.

How's your S4 holding up?
@@bobbyboy8608 I’ve driven it 330 miles. Took it on multiple camping trips. It’s really fun. It’s holding up well. No issues so far. The bigger frame makes it comfortable for me (6 ft tall) and I’ve had it up to 32 mph on level pavement (I weigh 220lbs) and 47 mph going down a hill in northern Michigan. (Not doing that again, it was a bit scary) I’m very happy with my purchase. I take my kids on it too, and there’s enough seat room with that extra button seat it comes with. I will say this, with the speed and range (I’m getting 42 miles average on throttle only) you find yourself almost never pedaling and exclusively throttling. Not saying that is a negative, it is what it is. Really fun bike overall.
Thinking about getting me an ebike really soon...what would you say is the better option between this EUYbike S4 or the Engwe M20? They're similar in price and specs, I really like the look of the M20 though
I'd get the one you like the look of better, hope this helps! Keep in mind seat length if you want to ever have a passenger, big difference there
I understand where you're coming from, but this bike is a little faster and looks cool
the EUYbike has a higher maximum load @400lbs the Engwe says 265lbs.
If I wanted to upgrade the controller and add another battery would I be able to?
You ever find out ?
you squeezed the juice of that battery right on the first day
Can you change the seat if it starts to sag, I've always worried about the longevity of the seats on this kind of ebike down the line.
Yea, it can be swapped out, it’s bolted on
If I upgrade the controller and battery will it go faster right away. Or will I need to get a new motor for it too?
It will go faster with stock motor but you may eventfully fry it if you push it too hard for too long
