Yeah for some reason e-girl is now what a lot of people think is goth. I know there are multiple goths and e-girl is a valid style but I believe it hits more with gamer girl style.

@@dollgraveyard The "e-girl" style, at least in my opinion, harkens back to "emo" Tumblr aesthetics (which involve basic traits commonly found in more "traditional" goth/emo/punk/alt styles like chains, spikes, and other hardware accessories) except it's noticeably... childlike? Because it comes from TikTok and was created in uneducated, "aesthetic-ized" imitation of the aforementioned alt fashions, it just looks like a teenager who's used to wearing bermuda shorts and "Life is Good" t-shirts thinking they're dark and edgy for wearing the most sterotypical and orentalized version of alt fashion; black, white, and silver/black metal.

also, using a word to mean something else doesn’t _magically_ erase the entire history of the word and what it’s rooted in. if someone uses “bad” as in “cool”, that doesn’t mean the word “bad” hasn’t _ever_ been used to describe actually bad things.
also “actually crazy”. a term used to describe people with mental illnesses. 5 star defense, would rate 6 or more out of 5 stars if i could.

Trad goth isn't super popular amongst things like this, often getting overshadowed by cybergoth and romantic goth.
This is more rock goth which is hardly ever seen but i adore it personally !

I leave the playlists on there because it's fun going back and reminiscing on songs I listened to at that point of my life. Besides music doesn't really define my style. The songs I listened to on a daily basis are on my actual phone's music playlist though.
@UserApplies Project Sekai is an anime-styled rhythm game that uses some of the vocaloids + 20 original characters. N25 (Nightcord at 25:00, aka 25-ji, Nightcord de. aka Niigo) is one of the 5 (not including vocaloids) groups in the game. Their music the darkest tone-wise, which is probably why the question was asked.
The story surrounding the characters that make up the group is really good too, and you can find either the official translation or more “faithful” fan translations online.
Pretty darn accurate tradgoth in my opinion. "Diy" leggings, backcombed hair, cool platform boots! 🦇👌

@@CarbonatedCondensation well the biggest difference is that E-girl doesn't have a subcultural or music behind it. It's a style of clothing and makeup, whereas emo, goth, punk, etc all started as genres of music and then became style subcultures as well. The clothing and makeup is unique to each subculture. It's very interesting to look into as well if you're interested

I’ve been waiting for this, I love goth fashion and music and everything, I don’t see the fashion as practical to wear on a daisy basis and it’s not really my style either but I appreciate it so much, thank you for doing it right and not defaulting to E-Girl styles, from the time I was in middle school, I’ve always wanted to have a goth wedding
(I am not repressing my individuality, I do like goth rock, but I like other kinds of rock more, namely grunge and punk but also everything, Pink Floyd, the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, etc.
My favorite band is the violent femmes.)

I am a 42 year old goth and I love this doll. She's a classic punk rocker. The Goth subculture started in the 60's in the UK driving from the punk rock music scene. My mother was a hippie Goth and we headbanded together on my bed once and we broke the bed. 😂 She bought me a new bed that weekend with extra money she saved. I got my first coffin bad it had high head board and footboard with a black bat design on the posts. It was stronger than the old bed so I was able to headband all I wanted. 😂 I miss my mom she passed away in 2015 from cancer. She left me with good memories. 😊❤ We always had music playing in the house and I took vocal lessons and I have an natural ability to play any instrument. My mom played the guitar and she had a good voice. We used to be DJS together and did parties and events. My mom brought music into my soul and it lives free within me through poetry and bats lots and lots of bats. ❤ 🕯️🦇
i thought goth started in the late 70s, and punk/rock or other earlier alternative movements started in the 60s
She looks like a anti hero/villain who carries around a shotgun and her eyes determine your fate. The red means bad and the pink means good, she’ll wink at you and whatever color you see is your fate. I love her🖤

As a goth, I appreciate the doll actually being goth and not emo because they aren’t the same tho most think they are! Only thing I would change is the hair I mean that’s more alt the goth but it’s still really good!
Actually tons goths have styled their hair like that for decades! You can see it from people like Robert Smith, Siouxsie Sioux, and Patricia Morrison. It was especially popular during the 90s to early 2000s.
If you look up a 90s goth band, there’s like a 90% chance at least one member has hair like this!

That was actually a very common hairstyle for goths a few decades ago, it just depends on what subgenre of goth they were. My favorite goth rn that has recently had that hairstyle is Mana-Sama- You can find him with this hairstyle on google from one of his shows a few years ago
