Tired of looking for good movies to watch on Netflix, Amazon Prime or other streaming services? Every week I recommend a handful of the best movies on Netflix, Amazon, HBO etc. so my subscribers never run out of good movies to watch on streaming. Spending 10 minutes watching one of my videos could save you hours of searching, hours that you could otherwise spend watching good movies on streaming that you otherwise might not have ever watched or even known about.

I like the list but you should also do time stamps
During the filming of Midnight Special I was having dinner in Shreveport at a very popular Mexican restaurant, known for it's lethal margaritas. We had a big table, some 16 people, and after having a stiff marg, I saw Michael Shannon coming down the aisle on his way out. SO naturally, I utterly embarrassed myself pointing and shouting "I KNOW YOU" at him, having completely forgotten his name at the time. He nodded sheepishly as he quickly made his way out.
The Free section in CZcams movies just isn't there in the UK (hey other countries apart from USA do Exist) there are some free movies from other channels on you tube but the ones actually from you tube are ALL pay for in the UK
You liked _What Dreams May Come?_ ... Okay, we can hang out.
I live in South floriduh and I remember when the events from Pain & Gain was happening, pretty wild
"Pain and Gain" is very well done. The true story is horrific.
"What dreams may come", actually a classic and a life changer.
So true. It really spoke to me -- at time in life -- when I needed to hear what it was saying. Had a break-up around then, and I felt the story (too deep, probably).
Great selection of movies!! "The Last Dragon" and "Legend" are two of my favorite childhood movies. I admit, my brother and I watched "The Last Dragon" so many times on VHS that we actually knew the movie verbatim. We still quote lines to from the movie to each other. "Legend" is amazing!! I used to watch a lot of fantasy movies when I was a kid. "Legend", "Labyrinth", "Willow", and "Dragonslayer" are my faves.
Great FLICK CONNECTION Darren. Some real stunning movies and many thanks for sharing how to negotiate film listing available 👍👍👍
Just saw you posted a new list and I feel better already!
Oh, DVD, I love your uploads. I wish you did other content coz I just find you so watchable. And thank you for showing the best way to search for YT free films as when I've tried in the past, it's been a nightmare. Like they don't want you to find them! Why upload them then, in the first place? Strange. So big up, my yout'! You da man for movie recs! 100%. Bless.
Last Dragon....SHO NUFF!!!!!😁
yo, love all your vids, i look forward to them constantly, thank you. just wanted to give a shout out for the help finding this stuff. you deliver on all levels. thank you thank you.

The Last Dragon is a very quotable classic!
Maverick was one of my favorite movies from the 90s.
On Michael Caine and the swarm he was asked why make that B movie and his answer was i had a mortgage 😁
He did a Steven Seagull movie.
Got bills to pay, I get it
He even passed on collecting his academy award for Hannah and Her Sisters because he was working on some shitty Jaws sequel.
TBH, back then, there was a sorta fear running around about those bees in those days so it was somewhat topical I guess. I remember the articles on how they escaped from a lab in Brazil and slowly made their way up north. At some time they were found in the US. :)
The dude works. He is an absolute pro. He comes in, does the work, gets his check. regardless of the garbage movie he's in, Michael Caine is solid. Never seems to be in love with the smell of his own farts.
You hit a homerun with Midnight Special. I've been trying to find it for a long time. It was great.
The writer of the book “What Dreams May Come” also wrote “I am Legend”: Richard Matheson.
Stir of Echoes as well
He also wrote Bid Time Return, which became the movie Somewhere In Time with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour at her most beautiful.
@@charlessomerset9754 a favorite movie of mine:)
Whoa
This is awesome! Thank you so much for the content! I recommend you to everyone I know. Also I was wondering if you ever do family-friendly shows and movies on streaming. I'm always looking for something to watch with my teenager or with little niece and nephew. 😎
Thanks, I needed this.
Dude, your videos are good enough on their own merits to warrant watching. You really don't need scantily clad ladies as clickbait in the thumbnails... That being said, I certainly appreciate it 😂.
They're good at catching my eye. He knows who watches movies.
Nice! I've not looked into YT's movies before.
Thanks for the links !!
You bet!
"You bet".... one response in all these comments and that's the best you have ??..love tbe channel...@@DarrenVanDam
So you take my post down ... there was nothing wrong with it @@DarrenVanDam
Where is it? I tried to type "youtube primetime movies" and clicked "youtube movies" as directed, but I only see "browse" and "purchased" tab, there is no "free" tab.
Same here - maybe cos we're not in the USA I assume.
Thanks Darren!
Kind of surprised at the assessment of ‘The Last Dragon.’
It’s one I watched 100 times a kid. And one I have rewatched every couple of years without fail for the last near 40 years.
It’s worth a try if you haven’t seen it.
It's amazing! Bruce Leeroy baby!
Eh. It's pretty campy, so it may not be for most people.
@@bennygerow Take that back. 🤣
Thanks, Ill try it.
I stole my gamer tag from Sho’ Nuff
I would say another movie that ranks next to Legend would be Labyrinth. Have both on DVD and my daughters love them.
The design of that Fight Club tee is awesome, might have to pick one up 👊
I watched Cleaner last night not long after seeing this. Solid recommendation! 💯
Nice job, thanks!
Maverick is a great slick movie. Not a blockbuster but a great good action and fun movie.
What Dreams may come will always be one of my favorites... Love it
"The Last Dragon" is an enjoyable cult classic! I can watch it on repeat.
I adore this film, it has some great lines and music as well.
one of my favorites
Good call on Legend, from my era ;) Also, Allied. Sadly underappreciated. Oh, and a half-hour stroll through Dune "making of" videos will show that there's more CGI than you'd think. Expertly balanced with sets and costumes, yes, but still definitely in use. Thanks for another list!
Maverick is a good shout. Since you like that one, too, I'll trust your taste and try that Allied flick. I'm a WW2 guy, so that should be fun.
I absolutely love The Last Dragon and am tickled you put it on a list. "I am the MASTER!" Julias Carry is one of my favorites who never got enough screen time over the years, he did however star opposite Bruce Campbell in a way to short Tv show, The Adventures of Briscoe County Jr. that I'm sure D.V.D. has on repeat!
Good video, useful. I want to mention one, if I recall correctly, Australian sci-fi movie I´ve been looking high and low for a decade now: Ektopos (2011). As this channel, and probably it´s viewers are into movies of this kind, I thought someone might show me to right direction, or have a look at it themselves, and maybe tell if it´s worth keeping on hunting it... Needless to say, sci-fi is my thing, and Ektopos´ premise is practically ideal to my peculiarities. But thank God there are sci-fi books in understandable languages, millions of them, when movies or tv-series fail me.
*Allied:* When "Mr & Mrs Smith" meets "Inglourious Basterds".
this is one of my fave channels!
some excellent picks
What Dreams May Come is genuinely hard to watch.. but its superbly done...
Maverick is a thrill ride, comedy, action, adventure.... with A list stars galore...
Cool shirt!
I don't know why, but for us in Sweden youtube has no free movies. Kind of disappointing not having even though I pay för youtube premium
cant believe reign of fire isnt on here
Thank you, DVD, a real time saver.
You're welcome!
Mia Sara is a stunning visual
Maverick! So solid
Tim Curry plays, Darkness in “Legend”. It’s one of the few movies I actually LIKE Tom Cruise in, and the movie that caused me (as a young man) to crush on Mia Sara.
Some of the best makeup FX work ever done in cinema. All of the characters are very well designed and executed. The actors in those make-ups sell them fantastically.
Some good stuff on CZcams at the moment.
The Quiet Man, Real Genius, Ghostbusters, The Running Man, Stargate, The Three Musketeers, Collateral, To Catch A Thief, The Mechanic and Timecop... to name just 10, I could easily name another 10 Right Stuff etc.
Which channel can I find them?
@@gorilladisco9108. You tube.
True story, I went to see What Dreams May Come in theater and had to evacuate for a bomb threat. It turned out to be nothing but it took so long that our showtime couldn't resume, and I've always had this weird hangup about starting it over 😅
Maybe now that it's free here 🤔
THANKS
Thank you
Thank you so much for Midnight Special. Superb acting and story. No need to watch current movies when gems like these are available.
I only listened to your 1st choice and I just watched it, good call!
OK, on to number 2...
Saw Allied at the movies and loved it despite not normally been what I would go to see
Hawk The Slayer is free.
If you liked Beastmaster & Conan The Barbarian, you'll probably dig it!
Starring Jack Palance
I wouldn't recommend anyone to watch What Dreams May Come. It's a masterpiece of a movie for sure, but ffs it's a tear-jerker from start to finish.
"Legend" - unquestioable, one of the best movies ever. Beautiful, transformative, a complete whirl of emotions.
Fairy tale.
@@playedout148True. Fairy tales have a profound educative and formative role for children. In that regard, this movie is just that and it even works for every other age.
Yes I was amazed when I saw they had this for free definitely my favorite fantasy movie of all time 🙏♥️
1000% agree.
Great list. Wow to CZcams. Are these ad free? I have Premim CZcams.
Thanks, Darren. Also, if anyone is looking for a new binge-worthy series, I recommend 'George & Mary'. But, be warned .. Heaps of Jacobean naughtiness. 😁🇦🇺👍
Midnight Special is an excellent movie. I really was surprised how good it was the first time I watched it.
Last dragon one of my favorite movies of all time!
What are you talking about?! The last dragon is one of my childhood favorites brother.
Legend is quite a spectacular experience. Its precisely the kind of childhood to adolescence story people deserve
Luv this guy
“The Man in the Glass Booth” written by Jaws actor and great author Robert Shaw is a much underrated movie starring Maximillian Schell. Based on the award winning broadway play, it is the story of a holocaust survivor who might or might not secretly be an SS offficer guilty of horrific crimes. Great movie.
Cool picks. Sometimes you gotta dig to find the gems :)
Probably one of the best lists you've done that I've had the privilege of viewing. I have seen most of the movies on this list and agree with your assessments; but, I did not find "What Dreams May Come" as a downer of the movie. I found the ending enlightening and full of hope. And, not to nitpick, Williams dies before the wife commits suicide. His death is the event that leads to her suicide (She did attempt suicide before that, but was (obviously) unsuccessful.)
The Swarm was based on a same titled book by Arthur Herzog, which was much better than the movie.
I LOVE "Maverick"
1. Cleaner was amazing.
Saw Man's Best Friend back in the day and loved it.
Allied peaked my interest, I'm checking it out right now , thanks, I just watched the trailer awesome
Don't mean to be that guy but it's ''piqued ' mate.
Oh and did you watch Allied ? Is it good. I'm not a big fan of war movies but yeah this one looks interesting. Cheers.
@MW-us3sv it's a Goode movie from beginning to end, believable story and worth your time , new york
Allied is an awesome movie! One of my favorites!
I rarely watch a movie twice but the 4 I've seen I'll check out again. The Cleaner was better than I expected. Dreams is worth the visuals. Legends I'd watch to see Curry as Satan. Midnight Special was cool and loved the music to zone out on. I used to be a Hostess for a place in Santa Fe. I'd watch Sam Shepard on library videos and then I'd go to work and he would be sitting at the bar. He passed soon after that. Thanx for the suggestions.
The Last Dragon was my childhood, it's amazing. That and Gleaming the Cube were my two favorites. Besides the obvious ones like Goonies and such.
A good dark comedy is “The Art of Self Defense” starring Jessie Eisenberg. Camp but not. Very compelling, but not too much.😅
Need to use a VPN outside of the US it seems
I'm so glad they added Legend. I don't have to use my Blu ray. My all time favorite movie.
I cannot believe "Memento" didn't make the list. It is a fantastic and original movie! I will be watching it again soon (although mystery movies don't work as well as a rewatch).
I remember watching the Last Dragon about two dozen times on HBO back in the 80s. Good times.
Def have to check out Midnight Special.
Btw, Jane Got A Gun is way down the list, and I highly recommend for anybody into modern Westerns. Natalie Portman is excellent, as always, and I'm about to go watch it again.
Michael Shannon acting in this film is excellent.
FYI youtube also has L. A. Confidential, really great movie
Last Dragon is a classic!!!🔥🔥🔥
That films is the bees' knees. LOVE that Man's Best Friend made the list.
I think Man’s Best Friend was a book first? There were lots of books with dogs made into movies back then! I watched it a TON, back in the 90’s. Then promptly got old and forgot about it 🤣! Thanks for reminding me it existed! Makes me miss being at my grandma’s house, watching crappy cable movies!
Yeah, my favorite was, "A Boy and His Dog". That sci-fi story from a great sci-fi writer, Harlan Ellison. Yes, it's one of my favorites of that time.
@@PoeLemic wasn’t that a movie too, with Don Johnson? Where I don’t want to give away the ending?? But he has a talking dog . . .
For the Love of Benji!!!!😁
My favourite classic movie,
'Beat the Devil' is available on youtube in Canada.
This is a nostalgic masterpiece directed by John Huston, starring:
Humphrey Bogart
Peter Lorey
Robert Morley
Gina Lolobrigita
If you are a fan of the chemistry between these great actors this is a treasure.
It's weird because I remember the Swarm and the commercials for it and the hype as an event but I was only three years old then. So either they showed it again a year or so later and tried to hype it on TV, or I have a crazy memory. They probably just did the TV campaign same as the movie. I remember being bored when i watched it.
The Last Dragon was so fun in the theater! It's worth a watch just for the chaos.
Soul Man should be on the list. Hilarious movie.
they've been doing this awhile. But I have always thought they've picked a lot of good movies to put up. I'm not sure what they are getting out of it...but it's nice to see some movies you've not thought about maybe in awhile pop up. I watched the classic "The Bedford Incident" with Sidney Poitier. A classic cold war movie.
I used to work for a restoration company and have cleaned a few houses with bodily fluids in them as a result of death or suicide, its not something everyone can do and youll never forget the smell, but it helps knowing you are helping the family out
CZcams movies are terrific! Hands down, my #1 go-to.
Just finished UFO starring Alex Sharp, Gillian Anderson and David Strathain.
Totally engrossing film!
Also watching the Alec Guinness Smiley set.
I DON'T MISS NETFLIX ONE LITTLE BIT. I doubt I'll ever go back!
Maybe, just maybe for specific series that has everyone excited but it would be in a binge watch only. I'm finding the free stuff is more fun because your not trying to justify the high prices being charged. 70 plus dollars for Fubo, CZcams TV or whatever, is a stupid waste of money.
I don't watch the news, game shows, NFL or any major sport except WTA and I've got the tennis channel for that.
I watch movies and Tennis and that's it!
UFO! Yes! What a fine, underrated film. This is *smart* science-fiction at its best.
@@davidanderson_surrey_bc No car crashes, nobody dies, no fist fights, no one walking around naked, people just staring into the camera thinking........yup, had my attention always.
Hollywood couldn't make this film! I can just imagine some studio head in charge watching this movie being made.
The Swarm is just boilerplate Irwin Allen. Same story, just change the threat and "All Star" cast. Earthquake, Towering Inferno, etc.
The last dragon is one of my all time favs.
Maverick was a fun, entertaining film
Legend is terrific!
My favorite is The Last Dragon , I will check out the Cleaner
Thanks for the suggestions. Movies are so bad nowadays, I'm always expecting the worst
What dreams may come? It's sad, but it's also very beautiful when you see that they cycle.
Legend is legendary! Never understood why it wasn't big at the box office
I just tried watching it for the first time at 44 and...
I'm sorry but it's not that great. in fact, it's borderline terrible at worst and only slightly above average at best. it has all the hallmarks of a t.v. movie. so bland, such bad writing, uncreative camera work, horrible dialogue... it's not great!
Great video post... I am watching every movie this week!! I also signed up for Incogni !! Thanks.
So I went to see Allied . Forgot that I saw it , good movie ! Then I stumbled upon The Liability , I saw it last night ....it's ok . Picks up in the middle . There are other great free movies . Bridge of Spies , Tom Hanks. Great movie . Ava , great movie .
"The little boy in the film" is Jaeden Martell! Cmon man! 😂
What dreams may come is a certified banger.
