As a mechanic, I come across broken bolts often and spend crazy time to removing them. Your method, will work better than an extraction tool that often does not work. Thank you.

I had a broken bolt in the head of my 454. Used 7/64 for a pilot hole & then a 7/32. #27 torn & it came out as smooth as butter.

Dude my lq9 in my truck. Got all bolts free. Then noticed a bolt was missing. Looked and shit is broken flush on my head. So 7/64 then go to 7/32 then t27?? Fuck. My engine is in place. I can remove the wheel well and gain access. Luckily I’m small enough to fit and work. I just have to remove heat shields.
This shit has been lingering in my head since thanksgiving man lol

Just had to add my comment since this saved my ass. Had a speed sensor bolt that broke off in the steering knuckle. It was a fairly small 10mm bolt head to give you an idea. Used a 3/32 drill bit and a smaller T10 torx (figured I'd start there and go bigger if I needed). Didn't drill too deep for fear of not drilling perfectly straight, worked like a charm. Thought I'd throw my testimonial and numbers here in case it helps

Great vid and very informative. I had a similar situation with an exhaust bolt. What helped me was using a left hand drill bit. It hollowed out the hole as well as loosing it up. As soon as I put the easy out in the bolt it was loose enough to loosen by hand .

The only problem of TORX, if finally it will get broken inside hole it will be double trouble to extract it. So, doing this way should be very carefull with the torque you use for unscrewing.
