LEGO Technic Lamborghini Huracan Review! Lime discoloration... AGAIN

- The LEGO Technic Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica 42161 is a great little car. It has some quite interesting building techniques. However, it suffers from the same issue as its bigger counterpart. We got lime discoloration with this car, again. Sadly, it appears that this issue is still present. Which set do you prefer, this one, or the LEGO Technic Audi RS Q e-tron 42160?

Some of the panels themselves also show inconsistent colors. It’s not really visible through the camera, but in person, you’ll see it. The discoloration is a lot less between panel to panel than it is panel to pin, but it’s still there
So glad there's a Technic Lamborghini that I can afford.

What’s so unrealistic about it, the green color could have been fixed if they did like a red or a blue but the car itself is not unrealistic.
Its such an odd set. I love the eay the sides and rear look, theyve nailed the silhouette, and if you look at the front side by side with a pic of the real car, you can see what theyre trying to do, but the front just looks incomplete.

i built this set but my rear left wheel doesnt move the engine, is this supposed to happen or did i misbuild the set?(rear left looking from the front of the car)
The lime pins that were discolored you mentioned was how I have the same experience with the technic ducatti but in red. Clearly, Lego didn't fix this mistake.
Definitely gonna pick this up at some point to go with my Sian. It'll look great with my other Technic cars 😊

The building experience is pretty boring with the lack of functions with these cars... I know: What can you do beside fake motor and steering? Well... Maybe switches to open doors like the big cars? Maybe liftable headlights, spoilers, trunks, hoods via a switch? Something that is more than "swings around"

Do you think it would have been possible to include a gearbox at this scale? ⚙️ It's big brother has 8 speeds so maybe this model could have had 2-3?
A compact 2 speed gearbox would probably be possible. Gotta route the power from the rear wheel to the front, have the gearbox somewhere in the middle or front, then bring the power back to the engine.
Aesthetics would certainly be sacrificed and LEGO is not interested in sacrificing looks in favor of functionality

yo unbrickme, i found 3 technic sets that i didnt even know existed and they are bundles that combined technic sets and i just discovered it while i was scrolling through bricklink, i thought it would be really cool if i included it, here are the sets numbers:
66318, 66359, 66712
3 years later, and nothing has changed…you’d think LEGO would make new moulds and other things to stop the discoloration.
Also…yes, the build looks nice, but it is essentially the McLaren Senna 42123 with a different exterior and different mechanisms and engine. It still has 1 singular axle connected to the engine from the driveshaft.

I like the V10 engine with Lambo plate but I don't like that Lego cheaped out on the steering mechanism. Steering rack in McLaren Senna was much better.
Honestly i don’t really like the front. And the way the front can flip up during play which is quite disturbing for those who will take it outside and have fun on the gravel and with the discoulouration it just kinda looks strange. I like the set a lot but the senna gtr they did back in 2021 (i think it was 2021)
They got the car spot on. i know they’re really isnt a fix for the front shape of the lights but it kinda made me think again if i should really buy this or leave it

This one is really weird - there's a lot of really good details at the back, but the front is all over the place. And I'm not talking about how all over the place it's in comparison to the actual car, but how it has things that make it look like a complete mess regardless of what car it would be depicting...

IMO one of the worst one of the 1:16 scale cars... Sadly too many corners cut with the steering aesthetics and of course quality control of the parts. Also why lime again? How about some purple?
42160 any day, new, useful components, great performance, very robust and the cheapest RC PU set which actually has 3 motors.

man I was waiting for a Lego Lamborghini ( at a low price ) and a Lego LaFerrari ...This came but man it looks realistic from the back but from the front nahhhhhh not a nicely developed … the lights are dug inside the pieces and there sticker lights. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
