Hey! Thanks for watching. If you plan to fish a lot in salt water, the HD couldn't hurt. If it's not gonna break the bank, go for it. However, no matter which reel you buy, always rinse them off after a day in the salt. It's just good practice to keep your reels looking and running well for a long time.

It’ll cast farther if you fill that spool to capacity.

Thanks for the advice. I didn't know that more line equates to farther casts. I've never spooled it in a cast.

@@macsoutdoor that’s what I’ve been told. Get that line to about an 1/8” from the edge and then there’s less of a lip for the line to overcome when coming off in a cast.
