- Bob Saget, the comedian and actor arguably known best by audiences as wholesome patriarch Danny Tanner on the sitcom "Full House," has died, according to a statement from the Orange County Sheriff's Office in Orlando, Florida. He was 65.

If you're a 90s kid like me, a part of you has died as well. Full House was a huge part of my childhood growing up. And as an only child, it's one of the shows I found comfort in. Thanks for the warm memories Bob and I hope your friends and family find solace.

Still can't believe it. we just saw him live on stage Friday night in Orlando. He was so happy to be back in front of audiences doing comedy. you could feel the energy and see it in his smile. We could have never imagined we were watching his next to the last show ever.

I grew up on Full House through reruns. Full House is a unique sitcom that had the global appeal, and me being of a Japanese descent, I saw Full House being shown on Japanese TV, and also heard from a Brazilian friend who have also watched Full House primarily in his home country. Because the show has the global appeal and fans everywhere, it was a great tool to learn English in a way.
Bob wasn't just America's (TV) dad, he was the global (TV) dad. Condolences to his fellow actors, the Full House cast mates, and his family.
As soon as I heard of Bob Saget’s death on Twitter I was in complete shock because like all of you Full House was a part of my childhood and we didn't expect him to die so soon like Chadwick Boseman. After the shock wore off, the first thing I thought of was how devastated John Stamos and the rest of the cast are right now, then I thought of the scene in the thanksgiving episode where Jesse was missing Pam and said "When is it gonna stop hurting man", Danny expressed his point of view on grief which gave Jesse the strength to tell a story about his sister. I hope they and all of us will remember and follow this advice to help us heal from not only Bob and Chadwick but from all our loved ones we’ve lost and the loved ones we’ll lose in the future. Thank you for every wise words you gave us Bob Saget. RIP

Tomorrow is promised to no one. Frankly, a guy who spent his life bringing smiles and laughter to others just reminded me of that. What's so great about Saget is that he was a straight-laced, modern Mike Brady type dad as Danny Tanner, and yet as a stand-up comedian he was quite the opposite.

I am truly heartbroken. The happiest moments in my life were watching full house episodes with my little niece. It was a genuinely funny happy show something that is no longer around today in todays television. I shall always love this show, those memories and the cast.

As a kid, in those early 90s years, every week, my family's ritual was to watch both Full House, and America's Funniest Home Videos. Childhood memories that i will always hold dear. Rest in peace, Bob, and even though we never knew each other, thank you for playing the role you did in my upbringing.

I saw Bob Saget at The Comedy Store Westwood. He was side splitting funny, continuous laughing. This was before Full House, and it was much more adult than after Full House, the material was definitely not family friendly. One joke I remember: "The first time I went out with my wife I told her 'I want to make love to you badly'. and that's just what I did."

This is heartbreaking news. I love Full House. Bob was a wonderful TV dad. I may of been really young when the show ended and got into it from reruns on Nick at Nite. I never had cable so I always enjoyed the show when it I had access to it. I loved how the show was funny and heartwarming at the same time. Celebrity deaths are always sad and always will be, but it hits harder when it’s someone from your favorite TV shows or movies. R.I.P. Danny Tanner.
Grew up watching in Malaysia. Yes correctly said, everyone watched the show at the same time and these shows were watched all around the world for many many years. RIP Bob, we miss you so much.
Now the Tanner Family is without a patriarch. 😭💔
