I have thought the same, the government will not be able to do as they say, improving the situation by speeding up the assessing of each person that applies for asylum. Also deportation, as Mr McDowell explained, it is a cumbersome system.
The accommodation is at breaking point and most of people want a turn around of the decision to take so many people in. As we are not obliged to opt in, now is our chance to change things, not make it worse.
I do think a referendum should be held on this. Article 29 of the Constitution says that any new treaty has to be put before the Irish people before signing it.

Francesca Albanese is telling right wing governments that if they don't financially support unwra 6 million arabs from "palestine" will come to EU. It makes even right wing look ineffective. That blackmail is just one of many that are fueling what looks like relocation of middle east to Europe. If it wasn't handled like this one or two countries would be fully taken over by now and we'd know what is going on. This way it's watered down to affect everyone slowly. How is it possible there was a moment of silence in eu parliament for the butcher of Tehran or condolences sent or whatever. Look at middle east on a globe not a skeved map, it's larger than whole of Europe

All told what to say, they don't have opinions. Nodding dogs, just look at O'Callaghan's interview with Fauci. No hard questions and fawning over him. I used to have respect for her especially when she told off that Islamic lecturer in Trinity. Now she looks completely brainwashed, like a newsreader from They live, genuinely. We must comply, tools for the state propaganda. Shocking behaviour by the sell outs in government over the past 5 years. We're now just an outpost of the EU communist superstate and RTE is no longer an Irish TV station, just an infomercial for the EU and the government. When the European parliament swings to the right we'll still be bearing the brunt of the migration pact, we need to start standing up for ourselves.
