Excellent choices! I'm nearly identical with Leatt neck brace and Leatt 5.5 without shoulder pads. I use same goggles, running Leatt 5.5 helmet. Leatt elbow guards and Gaerne sg12 boots. Over the years I've come to the conclusion that quality protection is worth every penny!

A couple items I like: Alpinetars A10 Full Protector. It’s essentially the same as the Leatt HD chest protector but super vented. I also like the Revitt Sand 3 Gloves.

We have some in common (just cheaper models):
- 2018 Sixdays Airoh Aviator 2.2
- X-on Enduro goggles (one of the best!)
- Leatt 5.5 neck brace.
- Leatt 5.5 HD Pro compressions suite - I'm not using the elbows parts.
- Forcefield Graph elbow protection CE Level 2.
- Knox Orsa MX gloves - ultimate protection and very comfortable.
- Pod K4 knee braces.
- No underpants protection yet.
- Forma Predator 2.1 boots - those are so unique and the protection is something else!
I use the leatt mx 3.0 combo: chest protector and neck brace. Very economical option if you want both and extremely high leatt quality

Pretty much the same gear I use except the boots, I prefer the Gearne 12. Also although I have the Leat neck brace, I don’t use it anymore because I do mostly low speed technical rides where the speeds are low and the limitation of the brace becomes a hindering factor compared to the protection it offers.
Leatt 5.5 body armor. I use it myself. Mine is about a year old. I kept the shoulder pads and use the zipper attached elbow guards. You can’t get better body armor than the 5.5

Yes, I think knee braces should be a high priority purchase as knee injuries can take a long time to heal, or many times never heal. IMO the use of knee braces can help reduce the chance of a knee injury occurring, or the severity of the injury. This study www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21297006 concludes "The most common knee injuries in off-road motorcycling involve the anterior cruciate ligament, menisci, and medial collateral ligament. The use of prophylactic knee bracing appears to have a beneficial effect in preventing medial collateral ligament and anterior cruciate ligament injuries as well as overall knee injury occurrence. These findings may be applicable to other sports that involve similar forces and mechanics."

Yes, one of my friends uses XXL helmets and wanted an Airoh Aviator 2.2 but couldn't because the size isn't available.
i went the other way . i did not like the Srs crossfire 3s , they have a much higher platform than the TA ones , found it hard to get good feel on the pegs , went back to the TA boots and never had any more peoblems
Hi, can someone compare Leatt 3df airfit vs. HD P5.5 PRO. I want to swich my Fox Titatn body armour to one of these and i dont know which to pick.
I see You have AirFlaps but didn’t mention them I think their great. Keeping your goggles from steaming up is a safety thing.

I ended up going for the Leatt airfit jacket, I tried the 5.5 jacket but thought the arm and shoulder pads were terrible - just couldn’t see them staying put. I did consider giving the sleeveless version a go as I like the hard plastic shell as protection against getting speared. Having said that the airfit jacket is fantastically comfortable once the padding has warmed up.
Helmet wise I went for an Arai mxv, it was pretty expensive but as soon as I put it on I knew I had an Arai shaped head! Totally agree about needing good goggles, before I bought my ktm I rode downhill mtb and once had the pointy end of a sawn off branch slide off the lens of my goggles and embed itself in the side of my face between the goggles and helmet! When I got out the hospital (I recommend ketamine if you ever get offered it in hospital!) I checked my goggles out and could see that the initial point of impact had been directly in front of my right eye - without the goggles I’d have lost the eye.
Love the look of those gloves, going to check those out for sure.
I have Daniese under shorts, they have hard shell padding on the thighs and coccyx and soft padding over the hips. The big downside is they are made out of a fishnet type material and look very s&m!
I wear Fox 180 MX boots, mainly for feel reasons. I had Gaerne sg12 before but could never tell where my feet were on the pegs.
Knee braces are next on the list, very difficult to find somewhere that stocks a range of brands to try on though - will no doubt end up having to order a bunch online and keep the best fitting.

Andybj - Work. I got a job working for a Japanese company in Tokyo as an electronic design engineer 30 years ago.
I noticed a similar characteristic between the Alpinestars Tech 8 and 10. The Tech 8 felt bigger in the toe area than Tech 10, the latter of which gave me a more positive feel with shifting. I also wear a Leatt 4.5 chest protector and plan on getting the neck brace as well. How does the neck brace, chest protector, and backpack feel together on the shoulders?
The backpack feels OK although if it's loaded I do know i have it on. I use one of the new model KLIM Nac Paks. The only thing I don't like about it is the part of the straps which pass over my collar bones isn't padded. I added some neoprene padded covers to the straps and it's much more comfortable now. Seems strange KLIM messed up with this. I did write to them about it, but never heard back. I should make a review video of the back pack. The body armor and neck brace I don't notice while riding.
I noticed you have tear offs attached to your goggles, do you use them off road? I know a few guys who ride in my area who use tear offs and quite frankly I hate seeing used tear offs thrown around the woods. I prefer to use Roll Offs in wet or muddy conditions. Oh well great video, cheers!
No, I don’t use tear offs for regular off-road rides and agree it’s not cool to dispose of them in the countryside. I fitted the tear offs for a race I did a couple of weeks ago, but it was pretty dry and didn’t need to use any of them. You’ve reminded me I need to take them off as the tab flapping noise is annoying at speed...

Mine are size S/M. I tried them on in the shop before buying and L/XL were too big for me. I still use them and find them comfortable, don't slip down and offer decent protection.
