    Not a Hungarian but i got some Hungarian friends. They are very friendly and cool people. I woud love to taste some of those dishes! Much love from Polish guy living in Netherlands!

    I love Hungarian food and all things Hungarian. I also married a wonderful Hungarian man. My favourite foods are strudel and vegetable soups. My Mom would make a cabbage strudel and home grown bean soup. God that so good.

    I love goulash, langos, fozlek,somlei coleska, portkoilt paprikas, dobos cake, stuffed cabbage leaves, and kurtos kalacs. I’m Hungarian on my dad’s side btw

      @@Rafael-gn7cr Wrapping minced meat and rice in cabbage and other type of leaves (just like grape leaves) are from Turkey not Serbia. It's origin from Turkey and spread out in both the Northern Balkan and Eastern European regions during the Ottoman empire.

      @@Rafael-gn7cr and not Serbian either, as you wrote first :) Anyway, the dish itself had spread through the Northern Balkan and Eastern European regions by the Ottomans, not by the syrians, still. That's the reason it's a well known dish in countries like Hungary, Romania and Serbia also. Just sayin'

    Pronunciation of the hungarian words are tragic in this video. It would have been nice, to switch the robots language to hungarian when actually trying to make her speak hungarian. -.- Some say its funny coz its bad, I say its unappealing and wrong. Its like if i make a video abaut traditional brittish foods, in hungarian and mispronunce every name. Trust me... every hungarian would laugh their asses off hearing Fish and chips spoken like its written.

    Although I have tried all the dishes shown..... "They are ALL great !!!!!.....
    IT might help if the announcer would pronounce the dishes in correct Hungarian.....For those who think I was joking I was born in Budapest.

    This robot voice absolutely destroys the correct pronounciation of the Hungarian words describing the foods...makes me cringe...I live in Hungary

      @@thompoz7114 rántás is called roux in French. They are the same thing, but it’s possibly a French invention that Hungarians later added to their own cuisine.

      @@sherekhan90 Rántás is called rántás. You speak English anyway, not French, nor Hungarian.
      There's paprika and garlic too in rántás, so no, it's not roux. Maybe French stole the idea from Hungarians, you don't know it 😏
      French don't know "főzelék" either. So yes, rántás is very Hungarian.

      @@verabolton igenis beszélek magyarul. A rántás ugyanaz mint a roux, és a Francia konyhából ered mint nagyon sok fözési/sütési technika. Az egy dolog hogy lehet variálni, hozáadni fokhagymát megy egyebet, de az alap technika ugyanaz. Megbuktál, leülhetsz.

    You searched for pretty disgusting food photos for the video, You can't make out what's on the plate. Hungarian dishes are not "everything mixed together", but tasty and appetizing, and looking good. These pictures make my stomach more turn.

      @@forogafold Hungarian is notoriously difficult for English speakers to pronounce.
      I imagine it is also difficult for whatever AI Text-to-Speech used in the video.

    OK this is a quick very basic rundown on a few Hungarian dishes by a foreigner, too bad she has never had a conversation with an Hungarian, absolutely no attempt to pronounce anything, the food descriptions may as well have been in Greek.

    It's unfortunate how claimful this video is. Hungarian culture is not the sole owners nor the origin of these gastronomic artifacts. This could have been an informational video of how Hungarian food and culture is interwoven with the rest of history; instead it is only a nationalistic, misinformative boast clip.
