- In this how to we are going to look how we to use the autopilot in a Beechcraft King Air 350i.
We will depart from Cancun International Airport
(MMUN) Runway 12R and make a small flight where we will use the autopilot functionalities. After this we land again on runway 12R.
0:00 title screen
0:05 start the aircraft and ask IFR clearance
08:09 starting taxi to runway 12R
12:45 take off runway 12R
16:50 enable auto pilot and discuss different functions
45:00 switch on approach mode
39:11 landing first try
58:38 landing second try

Flight Level Change works nicely but you need to reduce throttle to descend because it keeps you at a constant speed. If throttle too high wont descend
thanks for the tip @TopgunB makes sense thinking about it
good video, a little confusing for a beginner but it is understandable, maybe next time you could prepare some notes about what you are going to say in what order, investigate what function all the buttons do in this case of the autopilot, in the end it is very well
Edit: you have a new subscriber
thanks for the feedback
Pretty good tutorial. I learned some things! Thanks
hi Evan good that you learned new things
Great tutorial which taught me a lot.
What ramp/gate position at Cancun Intl is used? I want to do the same flight EXACTLY so I can determine if the ramp affects the correct operation of the pushback tug as I can't get it to work correctly.
hi John, what does not work correctly for the pushback tug? I thought. I was using runway 12L
Awesome thank you very much
no problem glad the video helped you
Maybe if you raised the landing gear the engines wouldnt have to work so hard... maybe flaps too, but i didnt see if they were up or not. Good vid though, helped a lot, cheers.
thanks Steve for your tips and glad the video helped you a lot
FLC stands for Flight Level Change, not Flight Control
yep you are correct also figured out I said multiple times flight control but you are right it is flight level change
Do you know how to engage the speedmach? I am struggling with how to engage it.
Good job! Love the idea of setting IFR back to the departure aiport. How did you get the labels for various buttons to reflect their state? Mine just says Flight Director but does not give the state. I have to push it twice to figure if its on or not.
mmm that is kind of weird updated to the latest version I assume?
Could it be the ALT (Altitude) button is buggy? If I enable it in-flight I can not disable it anymore right away...
Hi Sub1ne didn't experience that yet to be honest
FMS isn't showing up for me as an option when clicking on the compass in the primary display. I've just got Loc1, Loc2 and GPS and it's driving me crazy.,
did you by any change have configure you navigation radios on beacons having a localizer function?
i am facing the same problem. just started a new flight from a to b and have not changed anything
Hi both checked it when using a preprogrammed flight, I also see it only allows GPS, NAV1 and NAV2. The only thing I can think of that it might have to do with programming a flight before starting to fly. Can you explain what you try to do so I can try to see if I can help finding a workaround for you?
Great tutorial thanks! At 21:33, can we feed it airways between the waypoints?
hi Spowl need to check if this is possible, let me check and come back on this
"The engine is ok". *Cancels overtorque warning.
valid feedback learned about that since then
Everytime i click on NAV it says HDG VOR... And nav wont work for me, regardless if I pout it in heading mode..
check the CDI is set to GPS and make sure you are close to the pink line
I like how this guy takes all criticism as constructive I like that, anyways I couldn’t figure out how to change the altimeter setting on the main screen, the smaller screen in the centre is simple, yet couldn’t find the main one please tell me
hi Jace, press the letter B will set it all correct or are you looking for a way to do it yourself in the cockpit?
Is the VNAV working for you?
think it works but you would need to be participating in the beta of the aoa update
I had issues with the ils also
ILS remains a challenge ;-)
Just make sure not to go in the red on the "Torq" meter...you need to gradually increase the throttle and make sure to not overtorq the engines and also not overheat the ITT.
yep that is also what I found out. Not sure if MSFS already has the realism that engines will stop if you keep the torq to long in the red zone
@@Highintheflightsimsky I seem to remember when I was figuring out this plane that the engines cut off randomly at some point and I couldn't figure out why, maybe this was why but it could have just as easily been me accidentally pressing the engine off or something...
I have also noticed a very annoying bug where sometimes when you move the camera around it will press on the screens and move the maps, open the menu etc.
Boggles my mind how this top notch of a sim this late in development can have so many bugs.
at 4000 ft with throttle high I think there are some things to do before turning the gear down... Just kidding :)
yep you are correct ;-)
Your attempt at starting an engine fire was a little distracting. Good info though, thanks.
thanks you liked it and thanks for the feedback I will keep your feedback in mind for future videos
A lot of mumbling and clipped distracted sentences.
Ashley thanks for the feedback I will watch on it next time when recording s video
Amateur tutorial.
Get your approach plates right.
Sorry it isn't the level you expected any feedback is more than welcome and I will use it to enhance my video's.
