    Ewe meaning leaf.Because they use leaf for everything,that's why there is leaves on the table...They are a Nigerian tribe,same people as the Ga, known as yoruba in Nigeria today.They all migrated from Nigeria and settled in Ghana.Thanks.

    • @Agboka
      @Agboka Před 4 měsíci +1

      Nobody came and settled in Ghana. Know your history.
      Ghana became Ghana when the Gold Coast (which was then only Eastern region, Western/ Central and Accra) joined with Western Togoland and Ashanti and the Northern territories to form Ghana in 1957.
      Without all these new territories being pulled together by Nkrumah, there won't be what you know as Ghana today. So stop saying that some people migrated into Ghana.
      Again know your history and know it right.

    • @Agboka
      @Agboka Před 4 měsíci +1

      Stop lying. "Ewe" does not mean leaf.
      The word is Evwheh and not ewe. Ewe is a female sheep in English.

    It's very good and it's about time Evwheh people take back their food and stamp their identity and original names on them.
    Akple and fetri detsi had long time being represented as "banku and okro stew" making it losing its originality.
    And for a long time, the Evwheh people in the metropolitan Accra lived with this abuse and culture vulturerism unconcerned until now.
    Well done for claiming what's yours and your contribution to the food table of the nation.

    • @samabeka3023
      @samabeka3023 Před 4 měsíci +1

      Akple and banku are two different things my brother. Banku is exclusively corn dough,while akple of the Ewe's is cassava dough with a bit mixture of corn or raw cassava dough. The Ga's eat their Banku not with okro soup but with either hot pepper or stew unlike the Ewes. The Ga's prepare their stew/soup with Gardeneggs by adding some okro. The Ewe's do not use garden eggs in the preparation of their okro soup. The Ga people are not accustomed to the Ewe Akple style of mixing their Banku with cassava,and the Ewe's appreciate their akple which is normally cassava,with or without a bit of corn dough mixture. Travel around to know that you are not the only one who consumes either cassava or corn !
