Awesome man! I scored a 41 Plymouth P11 Business coupe myself- little over a year ago. 201 was locked up solid but the original interior was perfect. It came with 60+ year old tires still on it, and inspection papers from the original owner from during the war. I put a rebuilt 218 from a 48 in it, put over 2000 miles on it since I got her roadworthy last May.
That is awesome to hear! We hope to have this road worthy very soon. The next episode will be us cleaning the car up and trying to get it running.

If you need any help, hit me up! I may not be close enough to help wrench, but I know a couple good old junkyards here in PA.
Armitage thanks for that! I may hit you up for sure. We have a few parts we may need to replace here shortly
Fantastic find. To bad the mice get in to every thing and just Destroy. Very cool find! Can't wait to see the motor start! Thank guy's great vidio... Till next till next time!!!
Yea it’s crazy they get into everything. Thank you for watching!
Note to self: buy a winch for the Jeep, bring along the chain saw and other brush cutting tools. Non-rotating wheels require lots of power to move. Tires on grass equals not much for traction. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for watching and the comment!
OH MAN! I can't wait for the next episode!!! Awesome stuff guys!
Thanks jimmy! We appreciate the support. Be sure to sub to the page for updates :)
Excited for future videos! Wife and I have done this so many times I'm glad seeing someone putting in the video work. And yes, fixing the door and tire track is the right thing to do!
Thanks for the interest ! What is your favorite project you have found over the years?
It's amazing what old barns have in them. Going to follow you guys Al the way though on this one. Thanks for sharing.
It is amazing we always wonder what’s behind the doors when we see an old barn on a backroad. Glad we looked in this one. Thanks for following along with us
I am excited to watch your series. My sister found your channel for me. I have recently purchased a 1946 Plymouth special deluxe that I am planning on cleaning up and making my Daily Driver. (I don't drive that much)
That’s awesome welcome! We are going to be working on the Plymouth extensively in upcoming episodes. Good luck with your projectb
When I was in Highschool. Early 70s. Two brothers had a car identical to this one. And was original. Except for a set of them old slotted chrome steelies had shifter was on the left of volume.
That’s so awesome
Collum. Opps
@@MaffettMotorwerks this car isnt in Evington Va is it. Could be same one
@@jeffscott8323 this is in Delaware been in Delaware it’s whole life, if you find out where the other ended up let us know haha
@@MaffettMotorwerks ok
Sweet find…my parents’ first house was a chicken coop!!
Now that's a true barn find when there's a mummified dog under the car.....
Great video! Car looks solid, and your narrative is awesome, man. Can't wait for more.
Thanks so much! We will have some more progress up soon.
Hey just watched the first episode of the 41 man. Hope ya keep her stock.
Thanks man! Hope you liked it! We are keeping it stock as long as the motor holds out.
Hubba, hubba!! Didn't realize barn finds were still around. Anxious for more. Thx. Work??. Nah it will be fun!
Exactly! All in fun thanks for watching.
Just stumbled across your channel this morning so far from what I can see it looks like you'll be an entertaining channel to watch I can't wait to see the old car run maybe Buffett make it look like a real nice Survivor all right guys God bless best wishes
Thank you so much! We appreciate you tuning and subscribing. We will have updates soon. Shooting new episodes and editing them every week.
Cool car to the extreme.
You've only using 2 wheels working on 4x4. The opposite corners. You could use something like positraction.
Oh this series is going to be incredible. Subscribed!
Kevin Calvey thanks !
Nice find. I love these 41's. I have a 41 Plymouth P12 Sedan. I'm in upstate NY. Let me know if you need anything. I've got some extra parts laying around and I've been wrenching on mine for 3 years now. I swapped out the 6 for a 318. Looking forward to watching your progress.
David Temple that’s great! I will definitely let you know as we progress.
Hey David i just picked up a 41 coupe just like this one ,I plan to go small block chevy and would like to know if your using the factory front suspension ?
@@randycollins5981 Yes. I'm running the factory frame, suspension, and steering. It's actually a pretty good system. Way ahead of their time.
I have a 49 looking for a 3 spd trans.
This has a three speed. If we change it out I will let you know
Yours is the same as my first one, with the jump seats in the rear. The rest I have had and the one I own now are Business Coupes.
Yea I love those jump seats!
Cool project. Good luck with it & the new YT channel. Greetings from The Netherlands.
Greetings! Thanks for stopping by, awesome to see gear heads in the Netherlands as well! Be sure to sub to stay up to date. Thanks for following our project.
Nice find!
I'm in shock. Ron parted with the Plymouth. I was in there 2004.. looked about the same then...
I was shocked too but he has been trying to get me to redo this car for 8 years. He is so happy to see it running after 50 years in that barn that’s for sure.
Great looking car. Can u say "hot rod"? What a cool project. 👍
Thanks! This is a great candidate for doing some cool stuff too. For right low we are trying to keep it as original as possible, see how long the original equipment will last.
Good job on better her out of there
Thanks!
This is gonna be awesome y'all! Subscribed to the channel for sure but I wanna see this in person too! Is this a restoration, restomod or am I jumping the gun of a future episode? 😁
We are going to try to get it running and driving with using as many original components as possible.... for now
This must of been one of your first "Barn Finds" because you would of known the wheels would of been locked up and would of had the proper tools to free them up. How was your friend's transmission did he have issues with it after this because pulling a locked up car is really hard on the transmission but anyway it's a cool car you're going to need a special hub puller tool to get the drums off that car you may be able to find one on Ebay. I have one but I got lucky because my father worked on cars and he had one so I did not have to find one but without it the drums are impossible to remove and even worst when they a stuck to the shoes
That is all super accurate! We defentlley had tools to break the wheels loose. We got all but one stubborn one loose on site. But man, we can’t thank you enough for checking this video out. And the Jeep has seen far worse before we used it to pull this car out haha 307k miles strong on that Jeep!
Come on guys don't be hacks... take the brace off the air filter it's only one bolt. You have a really complete Coupe there. It's time for a serious tidy and an oil 'em up. If you start by cleaning all the electrical connections and make sure the starter motor has a good ground to the bell housing things shall go much smoother. Good luck with turning the engine over. Patience and leave the hammers to the carpenters.
Thanks so much for the comments. We are anxious to get this thing moving for sure but are making sure to take our time and do it right as well.
Please be respectful to this old lady and don't make a rat rod, chop and channel it etc......
Then years later. 1990s. Wifes step brother had a1939 Dodge looked simular to this. It to was all original.
Power goes to wheels with least resistance (no traction).
Did not really seem like you spent a lot of time trying to get it going. Initially you had said you weren't going to move it until it was running
The goal was to drive it out, but the motor was locked up, it was cold the day after Christmas and we were losing day light pretty quick. So we decided to take it out as is. We spent several hours trying to get it to at least turn over.
Just a respectful suggestion. Play the background music a bit lower, especially on your second video, as we’d rather be able to hear you speak as you work. Enjoyed your videos very much, and look forward to more.
jay swartzbaugh thank you for the suggestion! We try to keep the music only when we are not talking I will pay more attention to making sure it doesn’t overlap. Thanks for the support!
LOL, My single sister In-Law ask me if thr two men were Gorilla's dancing to the Music? LOL What imaginations a Single woman can have !
Haha that is amazing lol thank you for that.
Pat and Mat ?
??
You were stuffing around like a pair of old women! I nearly couldn't watch!!!!
Well we appreciate you checking it out, and hey I’ll take nearly couldn’t watch lol. Hopefully you made it through. Thanks for giving our channel a chance 👍🏼
Hey Guys. Great adventure. I just found your channel. I subscribed so I can follow you on this project and check out your other videos. Drop by the Dog House and see what I am up to. Thanks for sharing.👍👍
Thanks! I’m going to check your page out this afternoon I have it bookmarked. I’m on the road now but tonight I’ll binge the channel for sure! Thanks again
@@MaffettMotorwerks Thanks. I need all the support that I can get.
Do some research, you not coming across very knowledgeable about what you have. I know I'm an old buzzard. LOL
This is definitely a learning curve and was not planned to go pick this out of the barn so we are learning about this beast as we go. But trying to learn as fast as we can lol gotta hit the ground running. Thanks for following the project we appreciate it!
