    May 6, Monday
    • Senate passed on third reading the bill converting the Mountain Province State Polytechnic College into a state university.

    Eight local bills seeking to create additional trial courts in various parts of the country ware approved on 3rd and final reading.
    • Senate Deputy Minority Leader Risa Hontiveros in a privilege speech called for a Senate investigation on the so-called “Gentleman’s Agreement” between the Philippines and China.
    • Sen. Raffy Tulfo raised the problem of snake bites in the rural areas and the lack of available anti-venom supplies in crucial regions during his privilege speech.
    • Senate President Pro Tempore Loren Legarda defended in plenary a proposed measure seeking to establish a Framework for Blue Economy.
