It is not just Ford dealers who try to avoid paying for accidents they are responsible for. I dropped our Toyota Camry off for service at the Toyota dealership for service. When I came back to pick it up. I payed for the service, but did a walk around before I got in to drive away. The front bumper was smashed in on the drivers side. The plastic was cracked and the foam inside was mashed in. When I went back in and complained, they confessed a customer had run into it in their lot. They wound up fixing it, but would have left me drive off and then claim that I accepted the car, so it was my problem. Car dealers are as bad lawyers, politicians, fortune tellers, and insurance salesmen.

She left her car at the car dealers to obtain a service she was paying for that benefited the Ford dealership in that they would receive money for the work they did on her vehicle. Thus, the Ford dealership owed her a special duty of care against negligence. That duty of care extends to the dealer's employees even though they were acting outside the scope of their employment. He’s laughing all the way to the bank. So much for caring about his American workers. Strikes happen, but it’s the workers who would like to have a liveable wage, some health care, I’ve seen this one a lot- a safe work environment. He doesn’t even realize he’s shot himself in the foot. He doesn’t care what happens to Ford or his workers. He only cares about himself and the power he holds ( see- politician ). EV’s are a flash in the pan. It’s been done before and failed, and it’s failing again. I think most people buy EV’s not because they’re all for the environment, it’s because it’s a status symbol. A stupid one. Look at me, I’ve got lots of money! Not for very long when you start adding up the repair bills. It’s pretty bad when you buy a new vehicle, it doesn’t matter where it’s built, what matters is they cost more than a new house. It’s out of control and it’s because of people like this Ford ceo.

This about 30 yrs ago a friend of mine left a car over the weekend at a dealership so he could test drive their car
When he came back on Monday he said he didn't want the car so when he ask for his car they said they sold it. He and others had to go to the Att.Gen of the state to settle. The owner lost his dealership over it .

Norway was doing the same thing maybe 2018? The incentive was like 35%. In Oslo it was amazing coming from US more than have the cars in the city seemed to be EVs. Mind blowing. But if you can take 35% off as a consumer...

With UAW crappy quality and industry high wages, no wonder Ford is leaving to Mexico. They ought to build up their European operations for quality cars, and Mexican operation for cheap cars, and their American operation for expensive trucks. Otherwise Ford won’t survive. I don’t see how they are still around. How could a company who staved off the recession be in such a poor state when there is supposed to be a huge market with the shortages and stuff? It’s beyond me.

Some SHYSTER muffler shop in Cleveland, Ohio in the winter time would steal all the air conditioning refrigerant from their customer’s automobiles . Summertime , customers would return for A/C repairs !

I haven't owned a Ford since their "Thin Film Ignition" debacle. No big loss if they do move to Mexico IMO.

From the USA, I was thinking the same thing about Australia during the C0 vid lockdowns. We're all pretty much screwed. (At least you guys did not have to endure the "Summer of Love" as far as I've heard, or a prime minister as crooked or as incompetent as our current pres.) Where will all of this end?

If ya park the nose facing in always turn your steering wheel towards something that cannot move. Most thieves will pass over a challenge like that most cannot unlock a steering wheel on keyed cars & trucks. If its gonna be unattended a long time remove a wheel and sit it as close to the ground as it goes.
