Volvo EC220 | Trimble Earthworks | GPS | Caterpillar D2 Dozer | ADT | Dock Leveller

Welcome back to the channel, in this video i will be excavating a dock leveller in a 2021 Volvo EC220, with the help of a caterpillar D2.
The volvo is euiped with trimble earthworks GPS.
This was one of the first times I’ve used GPS, and can see why it’s popular in the construction industry

Hi mate I've been using trimble earthworks on my volvo 145 for about 3 years now I'm fairly well used to it I always have the beep on telling me if I'm close to grade only have it a quiet beep it helps👍

Cheers Colin, Ive just tried using that this week with an attenuation tank. Found it really help with grading out the floor 👌 appreciate the comment pal all the best.

Happen buddy how did u find adjusting to the Trimble kit n how long u been op before moving forward av only done 1n half urs but wanting to move on with the tec n use the EnCon hitch as well any tips cheers n good video as well

Cheers for the comment William, I’ve been operating for over 20years but been around this type of machinery all my life. I find the trimble a great tool for efficiency and safety. I’ve not have much to do with the tilt rotators but I’d imagine they would help with efficiency also 👍

Appreciate it mate. 😎👌 only thing I could suggest is to email all the local plant hire / construction companies in your area and explain your situation. It is a difficult situation as companies want experience, but been a keen hard working individual goes along way with companies too.
