    Which type of egg whites( fresh, meringue powder or egg white powder) do you suggest for this type of work?

      My favorite is actually a mix of the two! You can see how I make it in this video: czcams.com/video/M7osUvgi6YU/video.html

    Can i ask when you transport the cake to the venue if the string work dont break?

    • @auntiescakery
      @auntiescakery  Před 8 lety +1

      +Berlitz Joseph It's a tricky business transporting. The icing dries hard, so if the cake moves or bounces around a bit, the strings are not really affected. If they are accidentally touched, however, they break easier than glass! Sooooo, when I transport, I put each tier in a box of it's own. Inside the bottom of the box, I place a foam pad (that is about 1-2 inches thick). I'll slit two sides of the box and put the cake tier in through the side and NOT the top. Then I tape the sides back up. It will travel pretty well like this. At the venue, I CAREFULLY stack the tiers, then put on any finishing touches (And fix any strings that may have broken.) The one in this video was for demonstration purposes only, so I didn't deliver it :) I may find a better way to transport without breaking in the future, but for now, this method has done well. Thanks for asking. Hope that helps!
