Thanks for uploading. Loved this show so much and this is the first time I’ve actually seen this scene as it got cut/censored when broadcast in UK a few years ago
I think it was clear that there was more instore for her character. I mean they took time to build her up. She was amazing...no Abby but she held her own. Shouldve had her marry Michael. Maybe have some form of redemption arc to make her more decent. Kinda how they sanitized Afton Cooper and April Ewing from Dallas.
@@westwardstar1686 In a way, I think they were planning to because we got to see "why" she was the way she was. The scene with her mother in the airport spoke volumes. Linda was like a little girl begging for her mother to love her; but she was too self-absorbed to do so. There was also an interesting scene with Paige where she talked about being on her own, broke, and having to kiss rich butt to survive. There was an entire untapped backstory on Linda Fairgate that I think would have been fascinating.
@@fwdthinker Bingo! I was kinda uneasy with the writers having Linda get involved with Sumner. We already saw that with Paige being Sumner's playgirl lol. I'd payed to see Abby meet Linda...and how well that wouldve went.
@@westwardstar1686 I always thought Afton was way too good for Cliff and Bobby was way too good for April. Pam was a better match for Bobby before her big accident.
Thanks for the Upload !! At least Linda got $50.000.00 Right before died !! XD That's our Linda .Kinda Strange Paige gets fired and Linda dies in the same episode. Nice to see the show kept James Courtland on to direct..But it was just the writers were just awful..I love Philip Brown who played Brian Johnson..He was on the soap opera Loving..He played Buck Houston. @@robertscott8344 Had one scene where Linda met her mother at airport on a flight lay over, and Mom acted like "why did you bother?" And she dismissed Linda's gift. Then only had her voice on phone when Linda got snuffed. Mother was played by Mimi Kennedy of "Dharma & Greg".
Linda deserved everything she got. Very unlikable character. As much as I love Knots Landing, after season 7, the feel of the show changed. I still watched every Thursday night until it went off the air but it wasn’t as good as when it was in its heyday.
dang....do you have all the episodes? I have been trying to find them online but I cant find Knotslanding anywhere. My mom watched it religiously and I started watching with her in the later seasons when I was a kid
@@westwardstar1686 nice , I may have to look into getting the collection at some point. It’s probably the only soup I ever watched growing up. But I watched it with my mom so it also has some sentimental value. I only watched the last 3 seasons as I was a kid when it was popular. May get a set for me and one for my mom because she would love to rewatch it
@@robertscott8344 Season 13 writers went too far, so CBS brought back previous for final season 14, and they 'fixed' things. But mainly "budget cuts", 😞
Very true. The show definitely suffered without Linda and Abby. Paige never did it for me, neither as a heroine nor bad girl. But I Loved Nicolette on Desperate Housewives, she was amazing!
Jerome Courtland directing this episode, he did many episodes of Dynasty too I saw the edited version of this episode in the UK on CBS Drama around 2014/2015 They cut the evening slot and put double episodes on in the morning, so I had to watch Knots Landing on catch up in the evening when I came home from work The writing was bad by this time and I believe they shut down the production and sacked the producer and brought in Barbara Corday for the final season And the Lechowicks went too Lar Park Lincoln was good, pity she's had cancer in recent years Paige annoyed me, a poor Abby impersonator and it was the Greg and Paige show too much later on
Wow that message her mom left shows the kind of mom Linda had. Her daughter sends you a gift and her response is it’s like the other one you gave me but only smaller. I remember a scene some time after Linda’s death, where someone attacked her character. They said it to Mac and even though he had issues with Linda, he tore into the guy cause Linda was still family.
Prayers for Lar Park Lincoln who's been battling breast cancer 🙏
@Draper Scott Yes

Thanks for uploading this. I've been looking for it for such a long time.
Thanks for watching. Shame that they dont release the full series one way or another.
I still don't understand why they killed off her character so quickly! Linda was the ultimate vixen against Paige....

Her airport scene with Mimi Kennedy is heatbreaking. Justifies all the wickedness of Linda’s character.
Poor Linda, truly a victim of her cold, awful mother, and of bad writers.
Who was her mother?

Her character arc was incredible. Suspense, treachery. Wickedness. Great writing.
@@Mister_Listener Agree on the great writing until her end.
That whole Brian Johnston arc was a poor effort.

@@actionjackson7020 Yep. She sells them individually by each season plus the back to the cul de sac. But $50 a season.
Gotta wonder Linda's logic in double crossing Brian. She should have known he would have come after her.
Lar Park said "they had too many blondes". It was too violent for KL and glad people got fired.
Oh, damn!
Every female left was blonde wasn't it cause no brunettes never vanished.

Yes, unbelievably!
I was in middle school when this aired. I loved every minute of it. I couldn’t stand that woman.

Just remembered who Linda was...She Married Karen's oldest Son..
Yup. Then engaged to Karen's other son Michael!
This time she outsmarted herself.
A low point for the show. So bad that they even stopped production for awhile.
How sexy Philip Brown was
Terrible, awful, no good writing.
