Day 5: Mumbai, India - We started off the day by first dropping our bags off at the airport. Then we had an amazing street food dosa from Anand Stall. Then we headed to Juhu Beach, which is a favorite beach to hang out and eat Mumbai street food. I tried pav bhaji and bhel puri, then we headed to have some marvelous sev puri, and finally went to the airport to catch our Air India flight from Mumbai to Muscat.
1:49 Anand Stall for Dosa - Located not far from Juhu Beach in Mumbai is Anand Stall that serves one of the best street food dosas in Mumbai. They have a list of creative types of dosas you can order, and when I saw the paneer tikka dosa on the menu, I knew that’s what I needed to order. They cooked it up in front of me, with the batter and then adding in all the toppings. The paneer tikka was scooped onto a plate with the rolled up dosa. It was incredibly delicious, one of the best street foods I ate in Mumbai.
6:04 Juhu Beach and Street Food - From the amazing Anand Dosa, we took an auto rickshaw over to Juhu Beach. Juhu Beach was a bit stormy on the day we visited, and it was incredibly windy. So I decided to just have a quick coconut refreshment while standing on the beach before heading into the food area.
8:00 Pav Bhaji - One of the most popular Mumbai street foods is pav bhaji, which includes bread and bhaji, which is a combination of potatoes, tomatoes and spices mashed up into an almost gravy like consistency. The bhaji is eaten with the buttered bread and it’s a favorite Mumbai food.
11:12 Bhel Puri - Another common Mumbai street food is bhel puri, and it’s especially known for being served on the beaches of Mumbai. The recipe for bhel puri includes puffed rice and sev, which is stirred up with a variety of chutney and some spices, and onions and tomatoes and potatoes. It was awesome, and made a fantastic beach snack.
14:07 Sev Puri (6th Road Sev Puri) - When it comes to Mumbai street food chaats, sev puri is one of my all time favorites, and I was happy to have the opportunity to eat it one more time before leaving Mumbai. Not far from Juhu Beach is a street food stall called 6th Road Sev Puri, that serve a variety of chaat, but sev puri is what they are known for. It’s the best sev puri I’ve ever had. The combination of chutneys and the toppings were sensational.
16:51 Rickshaw to airport - After our final Mumbai street food snack, we jumped into an auto rickshaw and drove to the Mumbai airport to catch our flight.
18:53 Air India lounge - Waiting for our flight, we hung out at the Air India lounge, and they actually had some very good food at the lounge, including some more paneer tikka.
22:02 Arriving to Muscat, Oman - We flew from Mumbai to Muscat on Air India.

Ordinary dishes, he tries his best to find the good in them. The thing is, he usually researches beforehand, so the dishes he features are already the best for that price range in whatever area he's in.

So here is what happened. I watched the full video as soon as it was posted and by the end of it, I was so hungry that I had to rush to eat Bhel & Pani Puri downstairs. Writing this comment after having my fill. You can't do this to us Indians, Mark. I have this food at least once a week. How can you make us drool at our own food!! Hats of to you.
I have a suggestion, Can you plan a series for India wherein you get to stay with the local family for a day or two and you get to eat all three meals. In India we have 29 states and every state have it's own cuisine. Home cooked food is heavenly and I am sure you are to hit the table with every bite. You can also get the inside recipies which has been passed down through generations and see them being prepared.
Next time when you are in Mumbai, I would love to host you and Ying.
All the best for your future endeavours.

+Andrew Li We don't eat curry for bf, lunch and dinner. In fact we can go without curry for weeks😝 I follow Mangchi for Korean cooking and she uses Kimchi in 80% of her recipe. I tried Korean food in Delhi (restaurant is run by a Korean), but was not impressed. Everyone have preference and I won't prefer Korean food. Even you might not like Indian food. It all depends on taste buds.

Thankyou for showing us Indians how gorgeous and varied and delicious our food is. So heart warming to get so many messages of love from our Pakistani brothers. The same food and earth and culture runs through their veins as does ours. Your show proves how food brings people together as much as it defines a people and its culture. So powerful. And thankyou for loving our food. Your love for food and your humility are such a beautiful gift. Thank you

Apart from the food that is brought by the "INVADERS" (BIRYANI, QORMA, KEBABS, NIHARI, HALEEM ,PULLAOW, SAMOSA, ROGHAN JOSH, MOST OF OUR SWEETS like firni, Ghulam jaman etc etc etc etc, just Wikipedia for the further evidence and corroborate)
India has flavourless lentil and vegetable dishes that are native to India. So, to have the best main course meals it's a must that you go to what most of them call a, "Muslim" resturant, like the ones on Muhammad Ali road. And now that they have banned beef. Many dishes are already gone. But you can definitely try them out (like Nihari in breakfast) at a Muslim household, if you know one. But he'll definitely not come on camera.
Before 1300 years ago before the "invaders" came to india, there was only brahmacharis and bhujans didnt include the ingredients that might make your food tasty. So you might find only dishes like Rajma or idli dosa or chola bhatura that might be native to India. Others are brought by the those whom they call "invaders", along with all their best architecture, poetry (and poets), literature, Music (ghazal, qawali and others etc) and anything any everything that sells out side India is basically given to India by the ones whom indian don't respect so much (including the British).
Historically the royalty (culture, food, music, literature and poetry as well) in India has always moved from WEST to EAST. Recently they tried to impose their home grown leadership (through BJP and it's other umbrella organisations like RSS and BJP and vhp etc) in India and you're seen it's results upon us.
And by the way NON VEG doesn't mean that there will be no vegetables in it. NON VEG food has a lot of vegetables. So this terminology is also very faulty.
