    I’m watching this almost 4 years after the Chicago Cubs won the World Series and i still get this warm feeling inside of me knowing that I’m from Chicago and I love this baseball team so much and watching them play if the best thing ever and it’s even better when you get to live so close to Wrigley field it’s just one moment Cubs fans and the city of Chicago will never forget

    I’ve watched this video over 50 times. It’s 2022 and I still choke up. Saw him play with Indiana, excited when the Cubs drafted him, always new he would be a great player. But most importantly he resembles my son in all his baseball mannerism, power except my son is right handed. What’s scary is my son even looks like Kyle. My son grew a goat tee and people would say you look like Schwarber at 6ft tall same built but a year older. Which is why when I watch Schwarber it’s like I see my son playing MLB.

    The guy has some of the most clutch hits in Cubs history. Couple that with a season ending injury comeback, switching to an entirely new career position, trying to bat lead off, losing 30 lbs in the off-season, etc. Does he have the best stats. No. Although, he has traits so many superstars lack. He has character, spirit, heart, humility, and he's humbled. Ill take a player with that over any punk ass 50 hr arrogant self serving prick any day, and twice on Sunday.

    He’s a special person and a special player, I watched the game when he got hurt and watched the post game interviews, it was like a funeral, didn’t think the team would recover that year because he was such a huge piece of that team. not many players have that impact on men in a locker room. He is a guy you want to go to war with. I’m glad he’s a Cub.

    Something I think is pretty weird is 2016 was the Cubs best year, but before that what was their best year? Not record wise but postseason wise? 2003, anybody else remember something similar that happened to a Cub center fielder in 2003? Corey Patterson tore his ACL.. Isn't it kinda funny that the two best Cubs seasons wer years in which two men tore ACLs?!

    • @user-rm5oj4ew9q
      @user-rm5oj4ew9q Před 5 lety +4

      I remember Corey Patterson, he was going to be awesome until that injury running to first screwed him. Imagine if they had him for the post season that year. But then again the cubs may not have picked up Loften, who was invaluable that second half of the season.

    • @robertjuarez3489
      @robertjuarez3489 Před 3 lety +1

    It is so crazy to think about the fact that if Kyle Schwarber had maybe worked 10% less hard in his rehab the cubs woudn't have won the world series. if he was just a little bit too lazy on the recovery or took it easy for a week an lost progress he wouldnt have made it. but he did. amazing.
