- This is a review of the splendid Island Escape by Burasari resort on Coconut Island just off Phuket Island in Thailand. I'm showing you two room types, the pool access rooms and lake villa. The resort and facilities look as if they offer a peaceful, colourful and relaxing escape. An escape where you can spend an extended period of quality time to get away from the hustle and bustle of life.

Great video Gee. Are you a videographer by profession? Your videos are dynamic and very polished in their editing.
1. It would be interesting to see the general costs of lodging, spa services, etc. Is this something you cannot provide because you are being hosted by the facility?
2. Do the resorts host you at times that are "slow" by design? You usually have the pool to yourself, very tranquil surroundings with few guests, etc. I ask because I wonder if the resorts are uncrowded by nature or still sparsely occupied due to COVID.
3. You mentioned that this was a completely unique check-in experience for you. Why was that?
Again, let me say how much my wife and I both enjoy your videos. She is seeing locales that she hasn't visited since she was a child and I am getting to see these amazing destinations for the first time before my arrival in August. Really, really enjoy your work.

Thank you for watching. And thank you for your compliments. No, I am definitely not a professional videographer. But thank you for the compliment. Everything you see on my videos regarding videography and video editing I taught myself in the past 2 .5 years since starting my CZcams Channel.
Regarding the costs... I just forget to find out the price (because I don't pay for anything). But moreover, prices are a funny thing because they change so dramatically (especially as we recover from COVID-19) - especially with most hotels using dynamic pricing. Also, it is so easy for my viewers to use the booking link I provide in every video to find out the price themselves. So many factors determine the price of a hotel room.
As for the swimming pools, and other facilities appearing to be slow or quiet... Two factors are a play here. I wouldn't say that to hotels host me during slow periods. I can pretty much go review a hotel at any time however, hotels are less likely to host me when they have the potential of being fully booked of course because they can rather be using my hotel room for a paying guest. Also, I tend to film at specific times at specific locations when it is quiet. I need to keep in mind, the privacy of hotel guests. The date on this is quite interesting and you are quite welcome to ask me about it in the next comment if you wish.
The chicken process was unique because you do not actually check in at the resort. You check-ion at the office of the resort which is located on a completely different island.

I did not realize that Thailand lodging also uses dynamic pricing. I see your point then, discussing prices for rooms is not useful when it can vary as much as 100-200% based on day and season.
I think it's fantastic that you take other guests' privacy into account when you are making your videos. I have seen MANY other travel videos where the creator seems oblivious to those around them.
@@craigmorris8282 I always respect guest privacy. If filming a guest to the point where they are easily recognizable, I will always has permission first. You are also noticed that on my videos, I always blur out the prices of children antibodies if they are swimming in the swimming, pool or a topless, unless I have written consent from the parent or guardian.
Thanks again for the compliments. It is nice to know that I'm doing something right. As I mentioned before, I often doubt myself but it is through comments like these that I get some extra motivation. I am actually quite proud of the fact that I'm self taught, especially when I think back about how many things I had to learn on the spur of the moment. And as I'm sure you can imagine I'm still learning every day.

@@BangkokHotelReviews The plans are moving along, thanks for asking! My wife successfully defended her dissertation and earned her Ed.D, so we now have two doctors in the family. She will graduate in August and then we will head to Thailand via Taipei. We'll stay in Bangkok for a while at the Sheraton Royal Orchid before heading to Ubon where she is originally from and still has family. I am thrilled to be relocating. I am very "political" and have been appalled by the direction my country has chosen to follow on social issues. Thailand's recent elections were very encouraging results for me. My only concern is that I am having a dreadful time learning Thai: My current vocabulary consists of food items and profanity 😅.

Thank you for your comment. It is comments like these, which motivate me to review more hotels. As far as I can recall, the bed was very comfortable, somewhere between medium and soft. It was not super soft, but it was definitely not hard. Im afraid I do not know how much the spa is. But I'm sure it will be worth it. This really was the best hotel spa treatment I ever had. Yes, definitely book first. Also, ask for the spa treatment room I had - that one has the best view and is the most modern.

Thank you. There is a reception desk at the hotel on the island but , you check in at the hotel's office at the marina.

Hi there. The Island Escape speed for shuttle only goes a few times a day but that is complementary. You'll have to check the schedule with the resort. However, you can also make use of the local Thai boats from the pier on coconut Island too. I do not know how much they cost but I seem to go and come back again on an as-needed basis. I'm quite sure you'll be able to find one or two of them even right through the night.
