Hi my name is Lilly and I am an American expat living on the island of Koh Samui in the gulf of Thailand for the last 9 years. My husband is Thai and his name is Wat. We have two boys named Luke and Leon and a new baby girl named Lyla. Nam is our Nanny and she is like family to us. She is from Myanmar and has worked for us for over 7 years.
Hello Lilly, Wat, Luke, Leon, Lila and Nam. Firstly let me say, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY WAT, AND MAY THE GOOD LORD SHOWER HIS BLESSINGS ON YOU, YOUR BEAUTIFUL WIFE AND GORGEOUS FAMILY. " Lilly I am so pleased to see you smiling again. I noticed on my first trip to Thailand that the people over there are always smiling, that is why Thailand has a special place in my heart. I have noticed Wat always holds his hands out, to hold your hand and Luke's hand. That is a good way to show the kids to thank the Lord for the food which is on the table. When I read some of the comments that you get. People have said that you are doing the right things with your kids. Take care, stay safe, keep smiling, and God Bless.
Lilly is a good example of a Westerner who can easily assimilate to Southeast Asian culture. You can just tell how at ease she is in every situation, it's almost like she's not even conscious that she is away from home. I hope she can inspire other Westerners to try to expand their minds, make friends with people that don't look like you, learn another language, travel, read and learn about other cultures - it will enrich your life greatly.

I haven't worn a mask since the omicron variant, and it was so liberating to be free of it.
