      @roypiltdown5083 Před 15 dny

      the recreation of Teutoburg is based on what was told in the Germania itself, not what we know from (for example) other writers or archeology - Germania was written by Tacitus, who never visited Germany, and all of his writings about the Germans are AT BEST second-hand, and were probably written (much like Parallel Lives by Plutarch) to draw comparisons between the "noble savage" Germans and the 'decadent' Romans, and NOT as factual history.

    Right, so the book describes how the Germans defeated the supposedly indefeatable superior Romans, so why would it be bizarre that the Germans wanted to ensure this information was preserved and use it for their nationalism? This isn't unique to the Nazis. Americans love their battles to demonstrate their superiority, so too did the british and the French and the Chinese and the Russians.

In one time in history, the Chinese were above all, in another time in history the Egyptians were above all and yet in another point in history the Arabs (I am talking about golden age of Baghdad) were far above all when it came to science.
      As a matter of fact, ancestors of Germans were living in poorly built huts or even in caves when people of Mesopotamia (modern day Iraq) were living in well planned cities.

It was simply a colloquial term used to refer to the proto-indo-european peoples which european, persian and northern indian civilisation derived from, current history places the proto-indo-europeans somewhere in the caucuses, but historians pre-WW2 were divided between it beginning in northern europe or in western asia.

    So much fallacy with this Aryan race misconception. First of all Germans are mostly from 3 different tribes which came together 3000 years ago. These tribes are characterized by haplogroups where you have the R1b’s who came from the Steppes till Western Europe, I1’s which are Scandinavians and R1a the slavic type. Now to claim a German is Aryan and a Portuguese is not is funny because one German shares genetic blood thru the human genome with the Portuguese unlike with his fellow German who might be of the I1 stock. Admixture doesn’t correlate to the human genome.
    The German identity is 100% only cultural and doesn’t stand at all

    WW2 was the last stand for the Germanic people against Rome. There was a large support for the Germans in S Africa during WW2 among the Boervolk who originated from those Germans and of course if Germany had won the Boers Republics which the British stole would've been reinstated as Germany not only acknowledged the Transvaal as belonging to the Boers but also 1000s of Germans helped the Boers fight against Britain in the 2nd Boer war.
    The effects of loosing WW2 are being seen every day in the West in the form a far-left sociopolitical, philosophical, cultural and economic ideology whose end goal is the creation of a radical Marxist global society, a totalitarian order centered around a non-elected centralized ruling elite that enforces common ownership of the means of production, distribution, and exchange, as well as a culturally egalitarian social order hostile to nationalism, free speech, private property, traditional family values and biologically-based gender identification or ancestral heritage.
    The Aryan history, their symbols, Germanic mythology and all the research that went into this topic is so interesting. Let's just hope the Antarctic Germans survived and maybe there's a chance they can end this extreme Orwellian Marxist world we now find ourselves living in, it's way worse than even George Orwell predicted.

    The diehard Nazis were going great lengths to try and validate something they knew I’m sure was a lie. They went to Tibet and studied the supposed source of their Arian lineage, despite the fact that the Tibetans did not have blue eyes and blonde hair and weren’t tall.
    Secondly, the searched high and low for the holy grail and the spear of destiny.
    I don’t know if they really sought out the ark of the covenant or not, but I wouldn’t have put it past them.
    For some reason they thought that by possessing them they would have legitimacy and power over others, thus giving them some kind of advantage. It’s amazing that a country known for it’s scientific legacy fell into this occult pseudo religious thinking

    Why not just create his own bible? That's where the original Bible came from. People just gathered together their favorite versions of things written by hundreds of different authors (many anonymous) over centuries and edited out those they don't like. Then they presented them together as one book and called it "The Bible". Eventually people started acting like it was written by God and argued over every little word as if it were a legal document. It's just a collection of stories some King put together in the 17th century. It wasn't handed down by God- his giant white male hand, protruding from a white robe, coming down from the clouds like on The Simpsons.
