I love snow seal I put that on everything, And at 56 I don't think i rock anything anymore but a good quality leather belt can't be beat

Nice choice with making the buckle swappable with the Chicago screws. That belt looks awesome and all the more so given your creative embellishments and the handmade nature. It's tempting to say you make it look easy but it's more accurate to say that you make leather crafting look accessible and worth putting in the time to practice and hone skills. So happy to see a new video today!

A hint with chicago screws, put a drop of fingernail paint on the threads to stop the screws working loose. Or loctite.

I did not, I learnt everything I know on CZcams! 👌🏼 only started in 2021 … as for the filming that’s all my husband :) also self taught on CZcams. So we really appreciate the compliments! ☺️☺️

Love the tooling! Havent tried mountains yet myself. However, let me know how the antique holds up, I tooled a belt with antiquing and because of the flex, some of it has come out. It's lettering that I antiqued, but maybe my SnoSeal layer wasnt thick enough to seal it in?

Great work.. you are so creative. Not only made the belt, but also put the Rockys on it. Looks really great. In the clip in minutes.. how long did it take you in real terms? I love your work.. and how you do it. I can only marvel at the dedication with which you go about it!

Nice job! I’d love to se you try your hand at a leather watch strap, like a Müller&Son strap or an easier version like Threaded leather co. Sounds easy but I doubt it is being that some of them are pretty expensive.
I definitely want to try a watch strap.. would be a challenge for me…so used to working with thick leather.
I would rock that belt big time if it came in size 79 and 1/8 inches, lol.

Hello, very nice belt! I've never done this, but I really want to. I wonder if this "knife" has to be sharp or not? It probably doesn't cut into leather?
Hi there, the knife does need to be sharp bc it does need to cut the leather slightly. It’s called a swivel knife! Hoping to do a how to video in the future. But there’s lots out there if your looking to learn how to do it :)

I had a leather belt from the 70s it lasted for years. Now I haven’t found anyplace to get a new one. No leather workers near me.
A good leather belt aren’t easy to find anymore. And your right not a lot of us Leatherworker around anymore either. Hoping to have some up on my website soon :) thanks for watching
I just turned an old leather belt that didn't fit any longer into a knife strop.
Now I just need a new leather belt to replace it.
You know it's serious when out comes the apron AND the nitrile gloves. It's about to get messy!!

That's a great belt. I'm curious what color brown dye you like to use mostly?
I use a lot of light and golden brown… I find after I add oil and sealants it always ends up being so much darker. ☺️

I'm curious what that block you are using is while you work on your leather?
I honestly have no idea what it’s make of, some type of self healing plastic… it’s from OKA factory .. a Japanese brand 👌🏼👌🏼

Always a risk. I’ve since then chances to using Resolene, unfortunately with dyeing leather regardless of what you use there’s a risk.
