I doubt that a Muslim cleric would come into a catholic church and pray in the name of Jesus. I just don't understand why some catholics cannot or will not be strong in their faith, the most beautiful and loving faith when it's taken seriously.

My mother confronted our visiting priest for teaching against the Catholic faith during his homily. She stood up, said her peace and walked out.

I’m just back for the second time to the church I’ve lived next to for 23 years in Amsterdam, and had thought about going to for years.
Turns out it’s a church rebelling the changes. Mass is sung and then spoken in Latin.

Obviously you have the ability to effectively confront modernists like this priest. Most of us aren't quick enough or learned enough to do so. Most of the time it would be a waste of time for us to try this. God bless you Doctor for this.

You are not the only one telling these priests what needs to be said. I did the same last weekend at a mass because they dined me receiving the Eucharis on the tongue. He was not happy when I suggested that he take a long look at what he is and is not doing to shepherd his sheep.

In the University of Guelph, around 1985 a Jesuit invited us students to a Seder meal on Holy Thursday. There was a rack of lamb in my face on Holy Thursday whereas in my country, we abstained from meat every Friday, and the entire holy week, & usually fasted Thursday and Friday of holy week as well.

I learned that from Dr Taylor.
I was raised Protestant (being a Mayflower descendant from Brewster) but this whole Catholic “thing” is VERY compelling. Dr Taylor and Fr Rippeger are such great proponents of true Catholicism.
I’m slowly but surely being influenced by the genuine Catholic teachings.

I went to confession at a church that I only attended on occasion. I took issue with the fact that they have the tabernacle off to the side in a little room where no one can see it, they have no statuary in the front of the church, nobody kneels, they have some weird kind of table setting on the altar, and everyone talks during the eucharist like it's some kind of intermission. The priest was SUPER irate with me for criticizing his church and he showed me the door. The look of evil in his eyes was pretty frightening. I won't go back.
May I ask, did you confront the priest with all these things at once? Anger is always an emotion that covers another emotion such as hurt or embarrassment. Perhaps you might consider praying for this priest to know the truth of how Jesus wants him to shepherd his flock. Please don't give up on the Catholic Church. I'm not trying to tell you what to do, I am only trying to help. God Bless you.

I went to First Saturday Devotion at a local parish because my priest was at the Ordination of new priests. The homoly was about Frances and how he questions everything because that's what Jesuits do. Then he talked about the Synod and how great it was. Then this 73 year old at this NO mass, put on a mask to distribute communion. I learned in Baltimore Cathecism this way... The question was given, but so was the answer. Not, well you tell me how you feel about that? That is secularism.

what the modernist Priest doesn't realize is that if we do not teach the truth, we are endangering their soul. That is the opposite of mercy. To encourage anyone or affirm anyone in a faith other than the one true faith is endangering their soul. What greater evil is there than this?

I recently had a similar conversation with my parish priest. It was horrible. It broke my heart to hear the things he said to me. I felt alone . Thank God my wife was there with me to help me.

I think it's obvious that we shouldn't go to Islamic, Mormon, Jewish, or even Protestant service. But I think it's fine to say grace before a meal, let's say, with Protestants, in Jesus' name. I agree we should lovingly confront priests that err. My siblings have had to confront priests over, in one case, a liberal Deacan giving a pro alphabet people sermon. He never gave a sermon at that parish again. Or a teacher at a Catholic school putting up alphabet flags. The flags were taken down, but teacher not fired. It's so hard to fight the good fight when it seems like the Church Herself is fighting against you. IDK.
What you think doesn't matter. What the Church has always taught is the truth.
