Where we stayed in Şanlıurfa Şehrazat Konağı
We used Tripadvisor extensively, for most of our travel
Car hire from Merdin Otomotiv 04822131599 or 05424224747 Özkan they also picked us up from the Airport in Mardin
It never cross my mind to visit this part of Turkey. I think we need at least a year to see all the important places in Turkey
30 years
Thank you for your good introduction our city mick uncle 🤗🤗😙
Bende cok severim amcayi 🙆♂️
Tens of different cultures have been established and destroyed since Urfaman. Everyone living there today is the sum of these cultures. Thousands of thanks for another great video...
Totally 🤠
Lovely videos. When we were last in Istanbul we found most shopkeepers just wanted to chat and practice their English. We love Turkey!
Thanks. You shared very valuable experience about my Land. Really appreciated... Istanbuldan selamlar.

I advise you to visit harran, Bazda caves, Şuayb city, the place of Eyüp prophet which establish in viranşehir. You can find very very interestings things about history
@@mickandtrudie one day you will have enough time insallah, if you have enough time, I want you to be my guest. My home is in a village of Harran.😊may God be with you👋
Thank you so much for making and sharing the new series! Amazing work! It was a great pleasure to meet you in person in Fethiye too. Your films about Fethiye really helped me to stay optimistic when relocating turned out not to be as problem free and fast as I expected. I'm really greatful!

Hello Omer,
Trust you are well.
Just asking, is the city still accessible to tourists after the earthquakes and floorings recently? Please advise.
Thankyou

Hi Tima,
I am good, thank you. I hope you are well, too! There is no limitation about visiting to the city. However, because of the flood, some of the places where are important for the city have been damaged. That’s why it is not allowed to visit those places. But I would like to say that the city goes into act. The tourists can come, visit, and try new flavors. Looking forward to seeing you again here. Sending my warm regards..
Şanlıurfa'nın Birecik ilçesinde fen lisesi okuyorum.Gerçekten güzel bir yer.(I'm studying in a science high school which is in Şanliurfa/Birecik.It's really such a lovely place.)
çok güzel bir video tebrikler ve teşekkürler.
Teşekkür ederim!
Sooo beautiful
Extremely interesting.
I like how you translated "kolay gelsin" to " you are doing a great job there" :). That's one of the emphatetic Turkish ice breaker phrases that have no direct equivalent in English.
yes right, i usually say 'good luck' or something in that sense but now i have a new way to express it in a better way :)
'Let it come easily'
Seviliyosun mick amca ❤️
september is my Sanliurfa from Gaziantep trip!!!

Halfeti ilçesi Şanlıurfaya aittir Gaziantep'e değil!
Is there a beach or coastal/resort town nearby?
No nearest is Mersin or yumurtalık near Adana there is a beach at aşağıburnaz but it’s not a resort with hotels
Halfeti Sanliurfa district 😀
Hi Mick
I am going for 5 nights in a couple of weeks and wanted to know if you think there is enough to do for five days
Thanks Shaun
Yes do you have a car
@@mickandtrudie We don't have a car no but we have learnt from our hotel that we can hire a Taxi to go to Mount Nemrut, Karahan Teppe and Harran which is about £200 for both of us. We intend to do one trip a day so that goes someway to fill our days. We will do Gobekli Teppe one day and the archaeology museum and the grand bazaar another day - So I think I have just answered my own question.
Where is the best place to go on an evening and eat etc?
Many Thanks
Shaun
@@shaunbanana911 Nemrut is a long way from there 🙈
@@mickandtrudie It is about 2.5 hours each way - Taxi for two is about £132.00 which is very reasonable
You should visit Diyarbakır.
So would you say the the people in the south are friendlier than the north?
Yes of course (i'm from the south
No
History tells us through cave art and artefacts that the Aboriginal people of Australia have been on the Australian continent for 60000 years.
How did they get there? Their DNA doesn’t match any people in the rest of the world 🧠💡😜
There is conjecture about the origins of the Australian Aboriginal people. Some say Africa others South Eastern Asia. Incidentally I was reading today about the Black Rose. They grow in only one place , a small village in Turkey called Halfeti. And they only appear black in the summer months
.

Burada hac yeri ziyaret edilen kutsal sayılan herhangi bir yer anlamında, yani İngilizcede kutsal sayılan bir türbe yeri de hac yeri ( pilgrimage site ) olarak geçer.

It truly is amazing because 11,000 years ago the Turks weren't even in Anatolia. The first cities and rules are Greek and Roman and truly is astounding
Turkey celebrated I'd 569th Anniversary four weeks ago, Ottoman Turkey was established in 1450s. It is shameful how people who have no clue about the history of the region making films and misinforming people. Please read real history books, do not rely on their tour guides. Western Turkey was Byzantium/Eastern Roman Empire, and Easter Turkey was Armenian Highlands/Armenian Kingdom. Turkey only has 700 historic sites in 569 years.
@@tamarchristians1201 Actually you dont know very well my friend. It doesn't matter if the Turks are here or not in this video.Just watch it.By the way Turks have been living in Anatolia for more than 1,000 years.
Anatolian Turks are Anatolians. We were here 20K years ago our genetics say so.
No, we were still in Anatolia. We call ourselves Turks now.

Mick abi şu adamın yorumunu silermisin Türkiye topraklarında olan güzel Şanlıurfa şehrimize Kürdistan demeye çalışıyor
Komik olma. 😂
Kurds are not even a majority in Sanliurfa
burası Türkiye ağlayabilirsin
Why do you refer our history as turkish history? urfa which is north of kurdistan and under turkey's control is kurdish city, and this is our people history ( kurdish people history and remains). Turks are new in the area their existence belong to 1000 years ago only they came from middle of Asia and occupied our lands thats why plz tell the story in right way!.. thank you❤
dreamistan😂
there is no kurdistan now is there?
Turks are new to the area ? Lol 😂 I never heard such a bullshit comment in my life. If you don’t like don’t watch it . Sad person
Nowhere did he refer this to be the history of the Turks. And yes Turkish tribes did come from central asia and have mixed with other ethnicities who where already in Anatolia prior. Fact is, todays Turkey has people in it that are mixed ethnicities with European, Persian, Russian, Kurdish, etc DNA. Your racist comment has been duly noted.
At least Turks are preserving your culture...the buildings are in great shape... the artifacts are all preserved..which is more than I can say for most countries....you should at least appreciate what they re doing..no one is denying Kurdish history here....I don’t understand your hostility towards Turks...
Kurdistan ❤️❤️❤️
