I’m looking for a more of a root lift for my long wavy hair. Medium texture definitely not fine. I don’t like to blow dry if I can help it. I was starting to think of a pomade to put kind of underneath my hair onto the scalp might work better then the sprays that are out there. It wasn’t cutting it.

A pommade could work, but i am worried about the heat of your scalp causing the opposite of the desired effect. Have you tried the pret-a-powder "puff"? Once the hair is dry, you can section out the hair and do a puff or two at the root area and this will create instant volume. A little will go a long way. If you hair is darker, apply under the top layers as it can create a bit of mattefication. Hope this helps! Shan

Got turned on to your SumoGel about a month ago and I absolutely love it. It's so different from regular gels. Works and holds like a wax and still has the benefit of being water soluble.
I'm interested to try some of the other Sumo products. Is it just the SumoGel which is water soluble? I love that I can just wash it out in the shower at the end of the day without my hair feeling all gunked up.

      Hi!
The sumo gel is water-based, so it will rinse right out, however- don't think the others will be difficult to remove. They do feel more "paste-y" compared to the sumo gel, and, if you're an everyday user of the sumos (or any wax/ pomade), I always suggest using a clarifying shampoo every few weeks to ensure you keep your hair & scalp healthy & flake free. Sunday Shampoo from bumble is great to add into your routine every few weeks.

    Hello i wanted to ask
What would be the best lightweight spray/cream to get rid of babyhairs/flyaway hairs around the hairline? For braiding 🤔🤔

      Hi!
Are you thinking edges on texted/ curly hair? If so- the sumo gel is a water based gel that can help with edge control and is great for flyaways! Also keep your eyes peeled on our curl line in the next few months 🤫🤐😉 our strong finish is also a good option if your looking for a spray. It’s a high hold hairspray that’s not stiff. Hope this helps!

Which sumo has the most hold for flyaways?

Hi Vanessa! Sumo-gel has the most hold- It is a water-based gel that gives high shine/ high hold- If you want something not as shiny- i'd go for sumotech- it's a satin finish with a medium hold. For flyaway application: take a little on your fingernail and then emulsify in your palm. Whatever small amount is on your fingertips, lightly brush through the areas with flyaways. Another really awesome product for flyaways is the thickening creme contour- this is much lighter than the other sumos and doesn't translate as "waxy" or heavy. I love it for taming flyways. : ) Hope this helps!

I’m a male and I just got sumo tech. I have fine wavy hair but a lot of it and a short-medium haircut. Should I apply to damp or dry hair? Should I apply more the next day or just rewet it again to restyle?
