It's in Alpha...... everything, and I mean everything is subject to change. Just look at Smite 1 Alpha versus release. Just be vocal about your complaints in a friendly way on the right platforms, and the dev team will take them into consideration.

As someone that's played for 9 hours today it feels so different from 1.
Also you can just get base founders for $30 and then upgrade in the future if you want Zeus skin.
Then dont....you cand 30 just like regular smite 1. The 100 only gives you skins and worshippers

Better engine, fixing bugs and coding, more available mechanics
Smite used a heavily modified version of Unresl engine 3, it made creating new content hard. Also the game was dying very very slowly, but dying. The change in engine allows to create more and better content, it's a good way for new players to hop in the game since it seems more accessible, and it looks better.

The UI and damage numbers are the only thing that look worse visually, and those looking worse visually means very little. I think this game is as unnecessary as the next guy, but youre being an idiot.
