    Disconnecting or even just loosening a battery terminal such as you did in this video is a good way to prevent car theft too isn't it?

      I had an on/off switch installed which is attached to the battery. Once I get home for good, I open my hood and turn off the switch until next time I use my SUV. When you use your vehicle again, turn on the switch an wait for a bit. You might hear a different sound when you turn on your car but just wait until it runs normally. I love that switch. Saves my battery and it saves stealing your vehicle too

    If the battery disconnected, will it have effect on car locks? Will the car lock with manual key?

      Thank you for your comment! To answer your question, if the battery disconnects, it shouldn't affect your ability to lock and unlock the car with a manual key.

    You should delete this video. Obviously you didn’t finish it. Plus you didn’t talk about losing memory settings if you don’t keep power to the car using a jump start battery pack plugged into the auxiliary port with vehicle in ACC mode.

    • @YOUCANIC
      @YOUCANIC  Před 2 lety +2

      We don't recommend back feeding the vehicle for many reasons. If you loose radio presets and one touch options or anything else you can easily reset everything in less than 5 minutes.

      Don't be silly, what memory are you losing? Radio presets, maybe, maybe not. Change the battery, the car will restart all it's functions as you connect up.
