@@AMMN2118 I always liked the cartoony voices more. One of the reasons I don't really like the US in COH 2 is how depressing they made their dialogues, barely any humor. +Roy S. I think it's the influence of famous movies and culture. Think of the music from Band of Brothers and Saving Private Ryan in context of the American music. Then think of British movies like the Battle of Britain and the Dambusters and their music. It's a very different sort of theme. American films are often about the experiences of groups and individuals, and the music reflects their struggles and heroism through the war, while classic British WW2 films tended to be about the story of the whole - of Britain herself - and the music reflected the determination of the nation. Meanwhile, in popular ww2 themes, Russians are often associated with their opera music. German-themed music is generally inspired by militaristic themes.
They both add a certain feel to the nation you are playing. The UKF theme is based on the loss of mainland Europe to the Germans, and this thus empowering the British to fight on. The Russian and Wehrmacht ones are symbolic of the two large nation's military power to repel the enemy, yet also the fact that both nations are heading through dark times.
This may sound silly, but I use this for homework. It gets me pumped to work but also soothing enough to bang out a couple essays. Thank you Company of Heroes II, very cool.

"Time to earn the King's shilling!" "All right lads, Tea break is over. Let's go!" "We do what officers called, Repositioning!" "Were bloody soldiers you know!"
Interesting that other people are discribing the peace and the epicness of this song, but the part that stands out most to me is the gradually increasing sense of nostalgia and tiredness from 2:15, like the musical embodiment of "Sometimes the journey is more important then the destination.", and you have reached your destination.
love the background it is so awesome and peaceful also hearing this makes me happy the brits are on par against the axis and that their time beating the allies into a pulp is coming to an end...
I love the song, but after 0:47 the theme just becomes incredible, love it. Starts kinda Scottish, then some kinda drum Gregorian Chant then some battle theme. Astounding.

British main menu theme and commentator are ATROCIOUS, especially compared to CoH1.
Even the army voices, while ok, are still too cartoonish at times.

Yes my favorite faction theme
it's really great British theme
Funfact: The Glider seen flying/gliding by has never landed since the release of the British Forces.
rumor says it hasnt landed ever since british forces came out...
They say, if you go to Normandy, sometimes in a foggy late afternoon, you can see it, still circling the LZ waiting for the clear signal to land.
Legend says that glider still gliding even after the war
Legends say, it killed so many birds while circling that it got to vet 3.
If only there was an easter egg where it has a tiny random chance to fall outta the sky on it's pass and twat itself straight into a tree 😂
Honestly, this is the best main screen theme.
Epic part begins at 1:23 - I love the contrast between this and peacefull rest of the song.
I hear this part as the Battle of Britain
