This is cute and all. But most points raised here points to societal norms not the teachings and sunnah of our beloved prophet (PBUH), e.g enjoining the ties of kinship is a sunnah, so to think to get married without inputs from parents or one’s Mahrams is just not it………

Arranged marriage is the only halal way, unless you’ve seen a person and both have mutual feelings and then it’s carried on with a mahram. The way arranged marriage goes down in our culture basically starts off with a guy wanting marriage. And then from there, the big people deal with it and spread the word to different families or friends that have unmarried girls and then the matching begins haha. That’s why I strongly believe in maktoob/fate. Once there has been someone, they exchange photos of each other and then if both have mutual agreement, they move on to the engagement, and planning the marital agreement, basically the mahr, the brides gold, her wedding dress, the wedding etc… In our culture, the only time the two get to see each other is during the engagement, unless there is a mahram with you both. Then, the next time the groom will get to see the bride is when it’s time to pick her up at the wedding. The wedding is separated. The guys alone, and ladies alone. When they get the news that the groom is coming, you’ll never see ladies dress up as fast as they do at that moment ever😂 To sum it all up, basically the first date/meeting you’ll ever have would be the wedding night👍🏽🙈

I disagree with that. Even in the Prophet's time sahabas would interact in their daily life with the opposite gender. And when someone would like the other, they would openly express that and move to asking for their hand in marriage. So it's not wrong to get to know the person before you're moving forward. Even in an arranged marriage, the parents should facilitate the two prospects people cause it's their life that they're gonna be living forward.
