Wow, this is so epic... The ultra-rare Leyland Lynx at 0:55! It is gone for many years now, but it was very iconic back then - as it is the only bus in the entire bus fleet that has a separate, diagonal windscreen for the driver.
I was born in 1995 when this video was taken at Ang Mo Kio area where my school is. These are the old SBS Transit buses passing by where AMK Hub currently sits. The new interchange (air-conditioned) was opened 12 years later in 2007 by PM Lee Hsien Loong.
yeah thanks for this video, nostalgic. I rmb before the bus came, i was always hoping for an air con bus. When the bus came, n the bus do not hav air con sign in front, i got upset and aww no air con :(
I was born in 1995 when this video of the old Ang Mo Kio Bus Interchange was filmed. This bus interchange is nearby my school at AMK and the Integrated Transport Hub there was officially opened in 2007 by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and then Minister of State for Transport, Ms Lim Hwee Hua.
A Lasting Tribute to Only SBS Transit then and the Former old buses 🚌 that served Singapore 🇸🇬 Roads for the past 40 years, equalivent to Singapore Airlines Legend Boeing 747-400 Megatop also for 40 years services before replaced by Both Boeing 777-300ER and Giant Airbus A380 Double decker Aircraft.
Other than buses & sedan which look box-y, others do not look much different than 2022. The roads, roadsigns, hdb blocks..even the people. Yet it was 27years ago!! Or I'm simply old 😂

How can you be born in 1979 and be sec 2 in 1995? I was born in 1980 and in sec 3 in 1995. I think you meant you were sec 4.

@@alankuo1578 oh I see~ sorry lah. I am an idiot for not understanding that.
Back then where buses were actually pretty fast. Now these days the busses run real slow.

I wish those buses come back to service :'( I miss these buses
Thanks for sharing! We were the manufacturer who built these buses. Lots of greetings from SoonChow.

When there were still so many cars from the 70s!

That bus interchange was around at least until 2006
Buses with open window looks fresh rather than the closed air com
Good old days when buses have open windows

non-aircon bus still better. If ppl fart in bus, over-crowded fighting for air or aircon break down, trapped inside modern aircon bus is torturous.
To be fair what you see here looks the same. Just modernized
AMK bus interchange
Good old days!
