"Crazy on You" will change your life.
Haha, I was going to comment the same thing word for word.
React to the live version....get to see Nancy kick ass on her guitar.
Magic Man even more so:)
@@williamosborne6866 Yes! George and Patrick NEED to see and hear that live version.
I'll second this also. In my opinion Crazy on You is Ann's best vocal performance. For that reason, I highly recommend the studio version of this song. I've listened to both studio and live back to back. While I love to watch Heart live, the studio version is noticeably better in the orchestration and Ann's voice is clearer and more penetrating.
"Magic Man", and "Dreamboat Annie", you won't be sorry.
I gladly and strongly second your comment.
Women were Never the weaker sex.. and Heart friggin proved it!! Thank you Ann and Nancy!! â€đ€đ€
Thank you Broâs for including more Heart songs. Anne Wilsonâs voice is amazing. This song Barracuda is the best of a string of 1970âs hits they had.
You get chills because you know greatness when you hear it.. and the end makes you want to come back for more!!!
The Pretenders. Message of love, Precious, Middle of the Road, so much more. Chrissy Hynde has an amazing voice.
Range, power, dynamics, phrasing, timing, the ability to go from soft and sweet to a sassy scream. Ann Wilson is the greatest of all time.
I donât think Iâve ever seen anybody react to Linda Ronstadt. Try âYouâre No Goodâ âTumbling Diceâ â When Will I be Lovedâ, or â Blue Bayou â.
âHeartbreakerâ by Pat Benatar and definitely Linda Ronstadt doing the Rolling Stoneâs âTumblinâ Diceâ
Yes that was Nancy singing with Anne. Those sisters could rock. Crazy On You and Magic Man next.
Enjoyed your reaction, guys! This song is iconic. Ann Wilson wrote the lyrics. Roger Fisher, Mike Derosier and Nancy Wilson wrote the music.
Heart is sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson. Nancy is not only a master guitarist but has vocals as well. Check out their 80âs hit âThese Dreamsâ with Nancy on lead.
A great female artist is Susan Tedeschi. She started on her own, married Derek Trucks from Allman Brothers Band, and now they have their own band called Tedeschi Trucks Band. She is AWESOME !!!!!! Full of soul and talent.
1978 Grand Slam Jam Milwaukee, Wisconsin Ted Nugent, Heart, Cheap Trick and Journey! I was 15 and that night I fell in love with Ann and Nancy Wilson! I never had heard Women Rockers bring it so HARD before! One of the Best nights of my life. I'm 57 now and still play along to Heart songs on the guitar, Love Em!
"Why I get chills from her voice?" So do I George, so do I!
Heart showed that women in rock and roll have balls. Check out Chrissy Hynde, Melissa Ethridge, Joan Jett, Patti Smith, Grace Slick, Janis Joplin, and many more female artists who were âinfluencersâ who inspired creativity for other musicians; male and female.
I'd add Annie Lennox to that list.
@@angelagraves865 Excellent addition đ
Joan Baez, Stevie Nicks, Pat Benatar, Cyndi Lauper, Carol King......so many more đïžđ
@@bethshadid2087 Ah yes. And thanks for adding Ms Baez. Iâve attended 4 solo concerts, and a benefit concert which included Sting, U2, Bob Dylan, Bonnie Rait, and others - who exhibited a subtle, but distinct reverence for her remarkable talent...and provenance in the civil rights movement.
@No One Given that Joan, Ann, and Nancy still have great âchopsâ... thatâs gotta be a fantastic concert đ
Heart: 4 decades of top ten albums. More than any other female fronted band. Nice choice, nice job. Might I suggest Dreamboat Annie, Magic Man, Crazy on You and Straight On!
Heart often would do versions of Led Zeppelin songs in concert because they were huge Led Zeppelin fans
They started out as a Led Zeppelin cover band....
The guitar riff in this was inspired by The Immigrant Song.
@@clab5864 I thought it was achilles last last stand?...sounds like it.
I have been a fan of âHeartâ for 50 years â„ïžđ¶đ€đžâ„ïž Ann Wilson has one of the best female voices EVER! Nancy Wilson is a very accomplished guitarist as well as vocalist đžđ¶ If you want to hear them on one of their best songs, I suggest âCrazy On Youâ Iâm sure many Heart fans would agree!
Every word you said there is 100% true ! đ
Heart - "Magic Man", "Crazy On You" and "Dog and Butterfly"
Ann Wilson, in my humble opinion, has the greatest voice in rock music for a female artist. Its simply amazing to see how a rock and roll band in the 70s , led by two female leads , was so powerfully successful when the business was dominated my men. They literally paved the way for other female rockers like Pat Benatar in the 80s. I think its fair to say that they were game changers in music history with their great music. Keep smilingđđ€
Stevie Nicks solo career (lead singer of Fleetwood Mac) - checkout:
âEdge of Seventeen â (with lyrics)
Yeah but Stevie is more easy listening / pop, definitely not hard rock. Other than being female from the 1970s she as a solo artist really has nothing in common with Ann and Nancy.
@@k.wilkie3814 I didnât say she did
Their live (from the 70's)
"Magic Man"
"Straight On"
"Crazy on You"
Absolute best!
Ann Wilson vocals, and wrote most of their songs.
Nancy kick ass guitarist,
& superb backing vocals.
Thanks for reacting to them,
the voice of my youth &
still kicking ass!
Oh man the music video is great too. Her command of the stage was unmatched.
Alone, the video is another great songs and Crazy on You. Ann and Nancy Wilson are total rock goddesses. Annâs vocals are undeniable and Nancy is considered the #2 female guitarist of al time. #1 being Lita Ford. Also Nancyâs vocals are unbelievable also.
Next best thing to listening to their music is
watching them perform their music! â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Stevie Nicks, Annie Lennox, Pat Benatar, Aretha Franklin, Amy Winehouse, Morgan James, Joss Stone...
Love Joss Stone! Have you heard Sass Jordan?? Awesome đ
@@maryhuhnke8496 Thanks!
And Joan Jett
Storm Large has a great voice too!
Try Alabama Shakes if your into more of a blues rock sound. Susan Tedeschi, Bonnie Raitt, Mavis Staples also recommended.
There's no words for these 2 beautiful, talented and best girl led band everđ„°đ„° the music they put out is unreal. The sound of one's voice and the others guitar. Damđ„đ„đ„đ„ love themđđ guys you 2 cuties do such great reactions. đđ
I've seen Heart live in the late 70's,80's,90s and 3 times thru out the 2000's. Every year they come thru central Florida on tour where I live and there one of the few bands that continue to sound amazing live. Ann is 70 years old and Nancy is 66 years old. Let that sink in for a second then imagine seeing 2 rock and roll legends at that age still up on the stage bringing down the house. Hey Bro's MORE HEART, MORE HEART Crazy on you, Magic man and a little known but awesome song Dog's and Butterflies. Your reactions are cool. I love seeing young people listen to the old music I grew up on and love it.
Check out Bonnie Raitt, she is one of the best slide guitarist in the business and she can sing.
Hell yeah!
If youâre looking for another strong woman singer try Pat Benatar and her big hit Heartbreaker from 1979.
YES, Pat Benetar can belt them out at a loud, strong, killer level!! An OTHER VERRRY well-revered female rock bedrock of all-time with TONS of great songs to discover.
Definitely Pat Benetar. Heartbreaker for starters
I was going to say exactly that.
I prefer Hell is for Children, but almost all of her discography is worth exploring.
@@IllumeEltanin me too
Ann Wilson's voice was the best of 70's rock (and beyond), preceded by Grace Slick (Jefferson Airplane) in the 60's/70's, and followed by Pat Benatar in the 80's, then Amy Lee in the 00's and beyond.....however, Ann is STILL belting it out today.
Great reaction! From the 70âs and still going strong and better than ever! Ann wrote this about a record company manager who wanted the sisters to wear less clothing and push the â sexyâ. This was their response. Guitarist Roger Fisher is amazing.
I remember the first time , place and exactly what I was thinking when I heard this song for the first time over 40yrs ago . Thatâs how badass Heart is ! âđŒâ€ïž
thank you ann and nancy for bieng in our lifes. your band heart is in our heart. and guys watch ann doing the star sprangled banner. you will deeply regret the times that passed without knowing her.
Yes. 70's. They are still amazing. Just between us... my friends and I used to party like Hell to this great music back in the day.
Watch these girls live. Crazy On You. Whole album is perfect!!
Those Wilson sisters know how to rock.(their band is really good, too). "Crazy On You", "Magic Man", and "Little Queen" are great classic bangers. "Dreamboat Annie" is a cool, slower tune you should check out. Anyhoo, keep 'em comin'..great job!đ€đ
"Love Alive"
Magic man, Even it Up, Crazy on you, Love Alive, so many. Ann Wilson was considered the female Robert Plant of rock. They were influenced and in awe of Zep. She is still a force to be reckoned with. Two multi talented sisters and a some super fine musicians. 1975 You should check out the live version.
The baseline for this song, literally, is from Led Zeppelin's "Achillies Last Stand."
đ #MyFavouriteBrotherReactors (and my #SonicSoulmates), you've delivered another #FeelGood/#FeelGr8 reaction video! đ
It's always a pleasure to #eHangOut with you both. Stay healthy, safe, and sound. đđ€âïž
A great live performance of Heart is ~ live âCrazy on Youâ 1977.
The guitarist is Nancy - the blonde. Her sister Ann is the lead vocalist
You must do studio version of "Magic Man"..in my opinion their greatest single
great reaction guys. Jewel has always been my favorite female artist. check out you were meant for me or who will save your soul. lots of love my friends
I've been lucky enough to have seen Heart twice. First time in Vancouver in the 70's and 30 years later they sounded as talented as ever! You might want to try Linda Ronstadt another incredible talent.
Sandy Denny from Fairport Convention has the most haunting voice - the song âReynardineâ is amazing.
And she sang with Led Zeppelin on âThe Battle of Evermoreâ
Yes, the other sister is Nancy Wilson (she is the blonde woman on the album cover) and she is a superb guitarist. I highly recommend "Crazy On You" as another classic from Heart, and that song features an acoustic guitar intro by Nancy that shows off her skills. Some other great female rockers you should listen to are Melissa Etheridge doing "I'm the Only One", Linda Ronstadt doing "You're No Good", The Bangles doing "Hazy Shade of Winter", and The Go Go's doing "Our Lips Are Sealed".
They lift you higher and then they drop you! Exactly! What a great description you gave.
Itâs like one of those crazy rides at the Fair that life you up in the Air and then comes the Drop!
They make your hair stand on end and you lose your breath for a few moments.
What a Thrill!
đđ»đžđ
One of the best womenâs rock bands ever.
Just subscribed and catching up. This song was about men who ran the music industry and how they were treated as a women in rock nâ roll.
Iâm sure yâall know but, her sister is playing the guitar. Ann and Nancy Wilson. Most talented female band ever, IMO. Definitely check out Stevie Nicks and Pat Benatar.
Love Heart my favorite Rock and Roll Group
One more comment- I never heard the LZ influences before you pointed it out. Now it seems obviously to me. You bros have helped me rediscover music that I have heard for 40-50 years. Thanks
Glad you guys are covering this group. They are actually still around and have been since 1976. I looked at their Wiki just to check, and according to it they've had Top 10 albums (US) in the 1970s, 80s, 90s, 00s, and 10s and judging from recent videos on CZcams the lead singer still sounds incredible (and she's getting up there). So they were around before me and have been around my entire life. A couple of other tracks from them I'd highly, highly recommend are: Crazy on You, Mistral Wind, Magic Man, and Alone (this one is actually a power ballad instead of a hard rocker, but her voice is phenomenal on it). You really should do Mistral Wind -- it starts out very dissonant with an acoustic guitar and in the middle just freaking explodes.
the bassline is lifted straight from achilles last stand and its fantastic!
Another kick butt female artist is Pat Benatar. "Hit Me With Your Best Shot", "Heartbreaker", "We Belong" and "Shadows of the Night".
We saw them 10 or so years ago. We didn't think it would be much from old women. They started off the concert with this song, blew us away, and the rest of the concert was impressive too.
Yeah - I love Heart, especially the early 70s songs. I would recommend "Magic Man", "Crazy on You" (did you aleady do that one?), "Even it Up", "Straight On", and the Seattle 2002 live versions of "Mistral Wind" and "Battle of Evermore" (Led Zeppelin cover - yes, they loved Zep all the way back when they started in the 70s) are epic.
Patti Smith: "Gloria" or "Because the Night."
Definitely Gloria. Maybe Horses.
Magic Man is a Must Listen!!! Listen to the studio version; it's a masterpiece.
"Hell Is For Children" live by Pat Benatar 2001
A few great LIVE performances. In 2013 they were inducted into the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame. They sang "BARRACUDA" and "CRAZY ON YOU"! Here is the LIVE performance of "CRAZY ON YOU". Sister Nancy opens it up on her amazing acoustic guitar!! CZcams won't let me paste the links.
2016 Another amazing LIVE performances of "ALONE" and "WHAT ABOUT LOVE" both at The Royal Albert Hall with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra...These two performances were breathtaking...Enjoy!!
They had the attitude especially Ann Wilson â€
Love Alive, Crazy on You, Dog & Butterfly are other good songs by heart. Annie Lennox's cover of Whiter Shade of Pale gives me chills.
The Pretenders, Blondie, The Eurythmics, Tina Turner
Patti Smithâs âPeople Have the Powerâ, Bonnie Raittâs âI Canât Make You Love Meâ, Tina Turnerâs âBetter Be Good To Meâ, KD Langâs âConstant Cravingâ and Melissa Etheridgeâs âCome to my Windowâ. Just a few more options. All are very different. Of course anything by Joan Jett, Pat Benatar and The Pretenders would be fine as well.....
Check out their Debut Album, DREAMBOAT ANNIE, and you'll hear why we all thought they were the spawn of Led Zeppelin. It is a concept album with a soft acoustic side combined with hard driving rock rhythms so reminiscent of their fondness for all things Zeppelin.
Heart is from the Pacific Northwest of the U.S. (Seattle), but they recorded their debut album across the border in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada. They subsequently began a tour of Canada where they found instant love and success, shooting DREAMBOAT ANNIE up the charts, and making HEART a stunning International Success by the time they made it back to Seattle.
Bros, this is a legendary Album that deserves your FULL attention!
Try MAGIC MAN or CRAZY ON YOU!

My oldest sister (RIP) had this album and I listened to it and fell in love with the music đ
@@bethshadid2087 A very nice shared momento for you to treasure in her memory.âđ
@@cheripetty1805 thank you....she really was my inspiration into music. My earliest memory was in her room she had a poster of Bay City Rollers.....loved their music đ
@@bethshadid2087 I was lucky, I had an older brother of 9 years that gifted me Dreamboat Annie in what was it, 1975? So I had early exposure to great music by checking out his records, including all those early 45 rpms like The Beatles!
@@cheripetty1805 yeah she was 8 years older. I don't remember her being into the Beatles too much. I was usually outside playing tho but radio was definately my companion
Also, Magic Man from Heart's debut album will blow your mind!
"Magic Man" and "Straight On", by Heart. Pat Benatar is good too.
Pat Benatar. Perhaps the only woman in rock who can go toe to toe with Ann Wilson.
Heartbreaker
Hell is for Children
If you watch the live video of this, you can see that Ann isn't reaching for those high notes at all. Natural pure talent. And Nancy hits just as high or higher while killing it on the guitar!
The rest of the band members are phenomenal as well!
Nancy doesn't play on this song
I saw Heart live in the 70s. It was their first tour and they were the opening act for Dave Mason, who I bought tickets for. They blew the roof off!! Poor Dave Mason, he came out with an acoustic guitar and a few pedals to change up the sound. But....coming on after Heart was a huge mistake! People actually booed him and he was the main artist!!! There weren't many female rock bands back then. Fleetwood Mac is the only other band with great female vocalists in the 70s.
âMistral Windâ from their album âDog and Butterflyâ is another awesome song by Heart.
Try Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Paramore, Evanescence The Cranberries No Doubt
Not sure they will be able to handle Amy Lee. George will lose his mind ;)
@@foxdogsourdough she is pretty great
Promises in the Dark by Pat Benatar!!..GREAT VOCAL RANGE!!!
crazy on you and little queen are great Heart songs as well. Joan Jet and Pat Benatar, the Pretenders are great female vocals
Tina Turner, "Proud Mary" live Wembley!!!
Heart, "Never"
Watch Heartâs performance from when they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!
Another "banger/classic" from you guys that's right up there in my journey as a young teen to musical discovery of what's imho the best genre of music. I'm 54 and am partial to 1963-1980. You Bro's certainly have covered a lot of ground in a few short months all basically within my time frame. I love you for it, but trust me there is so much more underrated and eclectic music from that time period that it will make your head spin. I'm not a showboat, but I know a lot about that era of music, like millions of others that know there shit about 60's and 70's music is there's always something else around the corner if you explore. Still to this day I am finding/hearing things from back then that I'm just discovering now. Cheers from the canadian Queen nut.
Ann Wilson, the lead singer, was huge Zeppelin fan. I saw Heart twice and it was great both times.
If you want to hear another great female iconic voice, check out Pat Benatar. She was trained in opera since she was a kid, but her true passion was rock. Her octave range is insane, she mixes her vocals with soaring high notes and then gritty rock vocals. First big hit was Heartbreaker in 1979. That song or Promises In The Dark would be my first suggestions to listen to. Her husband is lead guitar in the band and has some amazing riffs too.
You're reactions are so genuine, I love it! From Seattle Heart Rules!
Heart with the Fisher brothers were magic!!
Heart were the shit in the 70s then went softer in the 80s, but check out Evanescence Amy Lee's voice with
the rock band behind her is something to behold
Heart does specialize in Zeppelin covers in their live shows (encores), they used to be called "Little Zeppelin" back in the day. There's a great live version they do of Zep's "Battle of Evermore" that is a MUST see: czcams.com/video/wShmbjqP3WU/video.html
YES. I LOVE them doing ibis song! I was going to provide a link as well but you saved me the trouble p
The beat of Heart live is from their 'Live in Seattle 2002' concert which has videos on CZcams.
"Crazy on You"! đ„

OK there's the start and as musician who grew up in Los Angeles in the 70's { yeah I'm old, lol } I have an endless list for you .... *Peace David* .....
Youâve got to react to Heart Crazy on you, Nancyâs guitar for 2-3 min in the beginning is epic!
Rockers from my home town! Saw them every New Years Eve!!!

Two very talented ladies.
Anne is the brunette, the lead singer. Nancy is the blond, the lead guitar.. although she sings lead on These Dreams.
Magic Man is the best Heart song period. If you want an under the radar Heart song that kicks total ass, try Heartless. Goosebump city.
More great Heart songs (they have so many) to react to: Magic Man, Crazy On You, Straight On, Dreamboat Annie, Dog And Butterfly... and I could keep going.
LOL - I wondered how you were going to react to how it ends, you didn't disappoint!
