Interesting that there were no DSLRs in the group. I'm totally with you, and while I only travel internationally around a couple of month a year, I too have moved to taking my mirrorless instead of my DSLR (which sits inside a bag in a closet). Taking trains, buses, walking 8+ hours a day in cities, etc. is just not made for the DSLR era any more.

"Non" just means "hat" in Vietnamese. Those pointy hats are called "non la." "La" means leaf. Those hats are made of banana leaves.

Impressive you can be a pro with so few WOW images
Well, good travel photos aren't usually so WOW. The more time you put into a photo, the better chance you have of taking an amazing photo. But when you're traveling, you have a limited time at each area and it's not always in ideal lighting conditions. Great landscape photographers, for example, always talk about spending multiple sunrises and sunsets in the same location. If that's the sole reason you traveled somewhere, it's fine to do that, but most of us want to take photos alongside seeing a lot of different places and seeing multiple things per day. So mostly you get good photos, occasionally a great one, and rarely a WOW one, but the experience itself is more enjoyable.
I was a bothered by your decision to take a photo of the saffron sellers face "surreptitiously" when he had apparently said he did not want you to take his picture.
