This watch is absolutely beautiful! I love the bracelet, as it is different from most other Casios.
Deserves more than a 7 it's a gorgeous watch I have over 50 casios from $15.00 f91w to 500.00 G shock just ordered this one for my collection.

I purchased an A700 Casio watch late last year after seeing it in a locl jewellers shop here in the UK. The version I have has a grey dial and comes on a stainless steel Milanese bracelet. I have really enjoyed wearing mine on several occasions and I would recommend this watch to anyone who collects Casio watches.
Looks very retro, i never seen before this model but reminds me 80's. After using F-91WG, A158 & A168 now this model my new favorite. I want to buy as soon as possible.
Do you think the module of the a700 could fit into a f91w body?

I’ve owned this watch for about 14 months now and have got Lo of use out of it but l haven’t babied it yet there is not a single scratch on the chromed case ,Chrystal or bracelette but this not unusual for my Casio vintage watches they are amazingly durable this one is perfect example of brilliant design but do agree that this model should have been a stainless steel case the beatiful design deserves it ps-love your channel-robyn,sydney australia

Hello! Since this watch is smaller then the f91w, and it’s a different version of the same module, do you think it’s possible to put its module in the body of the f91w? I really wanna have that sweet backlight in my f91
This is a cheap version of the Casio SA-410 lol but at least they decided to bring back a great model even if it's in resin plastic now and not stainless steel 😭
I don't know why Casio want to charge so much when they make stainless steel cases these days. I believe that a steel version of the A700W priced around $60 would be a huge seller. I guess they don't care to mass produce steel case vintage series watches. What a shame.

I'd love to see a review of the A1000 ,a metal case is what we have been waiting for , but I do hope Casio will bring out a version without the mother of pearl, then I really would be buying.
The AE-1000 comes in an almost all stainless steel case and band it’s model no is AE-2100WD-1AVDF it’s the same watch but in steel with a hardened mineral glass Chrystal 10 year battery and 200mtrs water resistance it’s built like a tank- a real warrior of a watch you can get it on Amazon l have one and it’s build quality is up there with g shock l beats me why this watch isn’t better known there are some great reviews of it on the Ainu on channel the reviewer reviewed it 3 seperate times he was that blown away by it l think it’s been over shadowed by the Casio Royale which is a great watch but it’s not steel like the AE-2100,l hope lve been helpful you RG,Sydney

the gold and the silver mesh bracelet version of this a700 has the monochrome dial :) but the multicolor is similar to the genuine 80 s version (except for the functions showed because the module is different)

Love the watch. The only reason I can’t make myself buy it is because it’s to shiny. I prefer a brushed aluminum finish and not that super shine casing, other than that it’s a cool watch.
The lock on my watch opens as soon as i want to close it. What should I do?
I am surprised how scratch-resistant the glass is. I have been wearing it for 3 month by now and there’s still none.
you probably got the 1a version with mineral glass, the 1aef have acrylic :)

The thinner the watch the more scratch resistant it is.
For £30 it was a no-brainer
I just wish that Casio (Timex and Seiko) Would go back to the old school digital watches made of stainless steel. Sure, the plastic resin is cheaper to Meg, but it’s just junk ones made of plastic. I have a little Armitron Rubik they cost me $35 and it’s 100% stainless steel. Casio could easily do this, they just choose not to.

Is there a way to remove unneded links? My settings for wrist size are at half of the band so I could be removing 7 elements easily.. thank you
Look for small arrows on the inside of the bracelet. The connectors push out in that direction. Use a small screwdriver or something and push against a tiny raised part on the link that looks like a bubble. Be careful not to stab yourself.
@@digitalcasio2704 Thank you, my bracelet has no arrows at all and I decided to pursue a destructive method of removing links. (Made a short video) I am very happy with my (much lighter) watch now. Thanks!!

This was the first thin watch for many years so you'll have to be looking for vintage timepieces. The SA series are awesome. Then you start delving into the rare and super rare with the FS film watches and the DBS series respectively.

i own it since its summer. I got it since youtubers review it so good, but i dont like it. One thing is that buttons are too sensitive, funcion button i turns alarm funcion with light wrist move and it takes 4 clicks to get back to actual watch funcion. Secondly beep sounds is annoying, expecialy when you try to get back to watch funcion where is no way to do it quitly. There is alarm funcion, that no one needs it, only stopwatch is practical. I wish Casio would have added timer instead of alarm..
So i am looking for something different.. i dont recommend it :(

This watch was made in a stainless steel version back in the 80s it was the SA-410 Casio Ill always love but they got way cheap over time but this version is way cheaper than it's original
Honestly I would give it a 5*
its so much better than A1000 because its light weight.

There is a real full metal version,
Casio A1000
The A1000 is a stunner and would like to own one of these. They are aesthetically different however but I nice addition to their Vintage Collection series.
This has some advantage over that.
1 Case Thickness (this is thinner so doesn't catch with sleeves and cloths)
2 Weight (this of course weight less and is more comfortable to wear in the long run, you forget about it)
3 Price (I got mine A700 for 32euros, A1000 goes around 100euros; an A158 is sold for 20 but has poor light and is all around cheaply refined .)
IMO Comparing: 20euros are too much for what you get from an A158 and Makes no sense spend 3 times or 5 times that money for this kind of china industrially overdone watches, moreover this is meant to be a minimal low profile jet presentable service watch and nothing more) You will use it when your phone for some reason is shutted down because you are compelled to like formal situations and ceremony, plane flight... If you are not supposed to check time and date silently in your spare time, you simply don't wear watches because you don't need to. In the end this model is less metrosex compared to the feminine A700WEM-7AEF sold around 40 euros... and can also be weared booth with a formal suite or sporty informal standing.
