    Truly shows the versatility of this fantastic synth. Many other synths have come and gone through my rig over four + decades of my playing. The Pulse 2 which I purchased in 2014 has and will remain a primary instrument for me. GREAT SOUND & ENORMOUS SOUND DESIGN POTENTIAL!

    Pulse 2 is the best mono analogue of all times. Have 10 voice poly made out them. KILLING ANYTHING

    • @skullhqx
      @skullhqx Před 3 měsíci

      @@ecthroi Well, he is exaggerating a bit. There is a so called Para8 mode available where it has 8 analogue square wave oscillators I believe. So that’s on top of it’s other more complex oscillators, but afaik you can’t combine them. This gives the Pulse 2 eight note polyphony within the limitations of the square wave oscillators and single analogue filter and such. It’s quite nifty actually, but likely not the reason to buy the Pulse 2 imho. See it like a bonus feature. I don’t own a Pulse 2 to check it out in detail, but I’m really contemplating buying one. Cheers.

    He tenido algunos Moog, y el Waldorf Pulse 2, es una joya para Bajos, Leads, Atmósferas, Polys, y si además uno lo suma al Waldorf Blofeld, es una maravilla. Imbatible!

    Fantastic demo! I do like the form factor and its interesting architecture, but I was never really sold on Pulse2. The volume variation, the lack of firmware updates and the terribly underutilised LCD screen (even Korg managed to squeeze in waveform oscilloscope on monologue's tiny display) always had me look away at the end. It's funny how after Waldorf terminated the product a lot of people rushed to the stores to purchase the remaining stock 😄

      @andrewgenner2613 Před rokem

      Interesting - I have been thinking of doing the same, but will probably just dedicate more time to programming my SE02 more carefully. I do love Waldorf synths though. Blofeld was my first, but I've added modules, KB37 and most recently Iridium Keyboard. I'm sure you'll have great fun exploring your Pulse 2.

    Would you prefer the sound and programming of the Pulse 2 versus something with a simpler interface, like the Roland SE-02? Part of my hesitation with the Pulse 2 is the interface.

    Waldorf is one of my favourite synth manufacturers, but I could never really get into this thing. The original Pulse definitely sounds better to me. This "new" one takes the harshness a step too far muh of the time IMO. You did some nice work with a bunch of these sounds, though, I must say.

    Hi,
    Very good.
    I am puzzled about Pulse 2 as a mono analog synt, is it still worth the move considering concurrency more recent offer in same or even lower price (Dreadbox Typhoon, AudioThingies, even Behringer Neutron with its good bass sound) ?
    What kind of keybord/sequencer have you used to compensate the lack of internal sequencer ?
    Any ouside effects, reverb, delay ?
    Thanks

    • @PanuMSavolainen
      @PanuMSavolainen  Před 3 lety

      I used Waldorf Blofeld keyboard and recorded with Sonar. Pulse has also arpeggiator. I used software delay and reverb. Distortion is from Pulse.
