    This was so helpful, thank you. I's from Denmark like Organicbasics, and were planning to buy from a few t-shirts from them, but they are pricy. I have three Pact shirts. Two are like the one here, a light cotton with definite twisting. I don't mind, because I kinda like the slouchy look and the price is right for me. The third one is a thicker cotton and lays so well. It's one of my favorites, but it isn't available anymore. I never really thought through why it's a better shirt, but hearing all your descriptions of fabrics and sewing, I understand now. Thanks for doing this! I love research like this :)

  • @LaughingInTiny
    @LaughingInTiny Před 3 lety +5

    So good to see you include Everlane... specifically because they get so much attention for being Eco when they are not. The guy who started the brand saw an opportunity with the word transparency and tied it in with a massive marketing campaign around the same time that the True Cost made the rounds. When bloggers and CZcamsrs started talking about sustainable and ethical fashion but not actually knowing a lot about what they were talking about, Everlane zeroed in on them and gave out a lot of free stuff... so they were included in everyone's "Listicles"...
    For us at Trend Privé Magazine we have spent a lot of years trying to teach people what to look for, and Everlane always gets asked about. Now we can simply send everyone to watch this video! 😊 Thank You!!
    Loved that you showed the bits like reinforcing the shoulder seam and how a person can test in store for themselves!! Very excited to find your channel. Well done, and keep going! (Request for white button up shirts, black pencil skirts, basic sweater and LBD so we can send people your way...)

    This was super interesting! I really liked hearing about the technical construction side of the shirts, and the shoulder situation - I think shoulders and armpits are often places that don't fit right for me but it's easy to accept that its just how a style fits - doesn't have to be the case!

  • @SimplySmiley04
    @SimplySmiley04 Před 3 lety +15

    I found this video SO interesting! I loved how you went through all about the construction of the clothing and the way they fit. I think those were the most helpful parts because you have knowledge to talk intelligently about it. I will admit that when I saw a 28 minute video it was a little daunting, but while I was watching it it was all very interesting and pertinent, so I wouldn't have cut anything out. I would definitely love to see something similar on a more structured piece!

    Thank you for this video! I really appreciated that you explained what of sewing goes into a high quality tee: now I know what to look for when I'm shopping.

    This video was awesome!!! It really makes it easier to decide between brands. I wish I had seen this before I decided on a black t-shirt a couple months ago, but I ended up with Kotn and I am so so happy with it!
    I would love to see other videos like this one. SO helpful and informative.

    this was really helpful, thank you for the work. thorough, critical reviews are so rare to find and i would love to see you do more of them. i am always low key looking to replace my old tshirts (but then i keep them yet another year..) and i can transfer the information to other areas of my closet as well. one thing i was missing was a mention of the size range of the brands. maybe you can add size inclusivity if you do another one of these reviews :)

    This was great! I am glad you included the links. To me the part about fabric, sewing and quality was the most interesting and important part. Thanks for providing so much detail and expertise.
