Drill a hole in the can and tap a tire valve stem in that hole. Then you can jusy refill the can with a bike pump.

I started with one of these. Still have it. Three problems with these:
    1) You cannot control the pressure at all. It comes out in spits and spurts making it useless for fine work. And of course the pressure drops as the can runs out.
    2) It’s an aerosol which means the gaseous crap used as a paint medium ends up on your model.
    3) The brush is not gravity fed meaning you have to waste a lot of paint in the bottle for it to be picked up.
Just do yourself a favour and get a gravity fed brush and a compressor.

its basically just spray paint at this point with extra steps

@@TheForbiddenMoon funnily enough prevail makes aerosol pods that do exactly this in a spray can form. i work in a paint department, and whenever ive seen them somewhere theyve piqued my interest. but i always think to myself how inconsistent they must be, and that's on top of how inconsistent spray cans can be when made properly.

I got one of these E91s with a secondhand setup of the compressor with a G22 and G25 which I use pretty often, but never got around to using this one. I have a large 3D print I need to prime and paint and figured the larger volume of the syphon feed jar would come in handy. I wish you'd have tried the airbrush with a compressor for a comparison.

    Cool video!
I always wanted to see what happens when you use this revell airbrush kit. Its too expensive to use it, im happy that I didnt bought that crap earlier, so now I can have mini compressor and an ultra just like you😀
Thanks for the video, its very informative!
    Keep up the good work😀

You should put " AIR CAN " in warm water while using it, so it doesn't ice up.

I have the same cheap airbrush and even when used with a compressor, it has issues with spraying consistently.

    thanks for suffering.
the only use i can see in the spray-can-setup is that theres no loud compressor working, so you could work at night

It's expensive ok but the gravity issue you can solve with an other vessel for gravity and upside down the device no big deal!!! And of course use a mini compressor.

I will be grateful for your advice. I would like to paint small jewelry parts made of silver and gold. What do think would be the best airbrush kit for this. Thanks ☺️

Hi, I think airbrushing is not the right technique for painting mentioned material. Different kind of metal alloys require chemical type painting, by etching, anodizing etc... But if you still would like to go with airbrushing, something like Iwata micron series or h&s evolution with 0.15 needle should be used. Also you will need special primmer that may damage such alloys...

My hose just keeps popping out everytime I connect it. I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong I keep wasting air

    • @StaticModel
      @StaticModel  Před 2 lety +2

This kind of setup is really not recommended for extended use. It has lots of flaws, and poor hose connection is one of them.

Is there anyway to attatch this to a mini compressor though?

Attach airbrush? You can use press fit connectors, or adapters.

Since it's a copy of the Badger 350 it has a badger size thread - you would then need a Badger to Iwata 1/8 BSP hose or Badger to 1/4 BSP hose depending on the size of compressor you have. Either way the connectors/hose will cost you more than what the airbrush is worth.
