  • This was an absolutely stunning flight on my smallest ever commercial aircraft - 10 seats, if you include the pilot and first officer (there wasn't one). Experience stunning Scottish scenery across Lismore, Mull, Treshnish Isles, Coll and Tiree from this yellow Hebridean Air Services Britten-Norman BN-2B-26 Islander aircraft. #hebridean

Hi that was an excellent video the scenery of the west coast of Scotland from the video looks so beautiful the white sandy breaches and the clear blue sea. The mountains and hills looked stunning. Thankyou for making this video i really enjoyed it.

Many years ago (47) I used to fly in Islanders (as a passenger) around the islands of Vanuatu in the South West Pacific. Apart from the lack of vegetation (or bush ) in this flight the scenery is very similar. With the blue sea and beautiful beaches you could almost feel you were in the tropics. Apart from the temperature that is.

We’ve just watched this trilogy - from Glasgow, to Connell, to Tiree, and back to Glasgow - and have been mesmerised. Thank you for making these wee films!

Thanks for your feedback. I had a workmate asking for an idea of a day trip in Scotland with her partner, and I told her about this, and she was won over. I couldn't guarantee the weather though.

Lucky with the weather! Been to Tiree on the Waverley but never flown. Flew on an Islander to Kirkwall from Inverness via Wick. Had drank too much tea beforehand so I was bursting by the time we landed!

I've had a few overseas people mention the weather on this video, and I try and convince them that is typical Scottish weather. I don't think they believe me.

Almost no-one I've ever met from Scotland apart from me has ever had a holiday in Scotland. I'm a Scot and I LOVE Scotland and little puddle-jumper aircraft. Keep on keeping on and shaming my fellow Scots.

...delightful watch, and so lovely to see some places from the air, that I know... I often travel from Inverness to the isle of Iona, either via Oban or the Fishnish ferry, which you filmed... also the Treshnish isles are a familiar sight to me from 'down there', as well as Tiree in the distance... subscribed your channel just now... :)

Just wonderful I was to travel on the flight around 2 years ago, but the weather had changed and the flight was cancelled. I have been to Tiree but I did fly from Glasgow, I also did it with the Waverley ship a few years ago. Both trip where great. I have did the shortest advertise flight from Papa Westbray to Westbray. Again as I flew around the Orkney Islands The scenery was just wonderful. Just love your videos take care.

Great video and trip report Scott! One for the bucket list. I flew on an Islander a few years back from Lands End to Scilly Isles, great fun! I even got to sit in the co-pilots seat as they wanted to balance the weight on a full flight 😊

01:00. You should have done a walk around. VERY few people get the privilege to go airside..I've never been aboard an Islander. My friend Captain Bob used to fly them for Loganair. An ex fleet air arm fighter pilot but he just loved the Islander. It's perfect for the horrible Scottish climate. Tough as a pair of old boots.

Try Traigh Mor and Traigh Eais, Tangasdale or Halaman Bay on Barra or even Sandwood Bay or Luskentyre, often rated numero uno in Scotlandshire.

@@allancopland1768 Indeed. Before I stumbled upon these CZcams videos years ago (Rusty Nails, Steve Marsh) I would never have thought Scotland had that many beautiful beaches. Or other attractions for that matter. :)
